Features
Overview: The SC-DV1-DS is a docking station for PatrolEyes SC-DV1 HD body cameras. The docking station allows you to transfer data and charge the batteries for up to eight SC-DV1 body cameras. The unit has a black powder-coat finish, and can be placed on a desktop or mounted on a wall, using the included wall-mount bracket.
Connections: The SC-DV1-DS is equipped with eight right-angled Mini-B 2.0 USB connectors for connecting the cameras. Each USB cable is at least 12" in length, and is internally connected. Any excess cable can be pushed down inside the docking station chassis when not in use. The rear panel has a 12-volt power port for the included AC/DC adapter, and a Type-B USB port for connecting the docking station to your PC. An On-Off switch is provided for powering the unit.
Charging: The Docking Station has eight fixed slots for attaching cameras using their metal clips. Up to 8 SC-DV1 cameras can be charged simultaneously in about 2.5 hours. Each USB cable can provide up to 2.0 Amps of current. Voltage overload and instantaneous current protection is provided for the cameras.
Data Transfer: The eight USB cables are connected internally, allowing you to transfer the video, photo, and audio files to a PC through a single cable (USB Type A-to-Type B cable, included). Using the downloadable PatrolEyes HD Camera Management Software (CMS), files can be uploaded to a PC, and automatically delete the files off of each device, saving you valuable time and resources. It is recommended that the camera management software be installed on a dedicated workstation.
Wall Mounting: The SC-DV1-DS includes 4 padded feet (installed) for placement on a desktop or tabletop. These feet can be easily removed for wall-mounting the docking station. A 9-5/8" x 7-1/2" wall-mounting bracket is provided. The bracket mounts to the wall via 4 screws (provided, along with plastic wall anchors). The docking station has 4 keyhole slots that hang on the bracket's 4 studs. This allows you to more easily remove the docking station for cleaning or maintenance. When wall-mounted, the power and USB connections, and the On/Off switch are positioned on the top.
Cooling Vents: Cooling vents are provided on both sides and the rear panel (top panel, if wall-mounted) to prevent the internal temperature from getting too high.
