About the Memphis Audio 15-MCX69
Soulful sound
Memphis Audio's MClass Series speakers feature external crossovers for superior sound and a unique mounting system for streamlined installation
Soulful sound
Memphis Audio has been making the world of car audio better since 1965, and their MClass Series speakers are the culmination of quality construction, thoughtful design, and years of experience. With a tradition of great American music in mind, Memphis Audio builds these speakers to reproduce every song with authenticity and impressive detail.
Powerful factory replacements
Go ahead and crank the volume — Memphis Audio's 15-MCX69 6"x9" 2-way car speakers will handle up to 60 watts RMS. Their carbon fiber woofers make powerful replacements for low-functioning factory speakers, delivering strong performance with both accuracy and gusto. The aluminum tweeters give you crisp, soaring highs, and Memphis Audio's ball-and-joint tweeter mounting design allows you to swivel them for more effective dispersal.
External crossovers
You know the MClass speakers are standouts because Memphis Audio equips them with external crossovers with two-level tweeter adjustment for the best sound possible in your car. And thanks to Memphis Audio's unique MClip mounting solution, you can securely clip the crossover onto the back of the speaker basket for a space-efficient installation.

Features
Tweeters: The aluminum dome tweeters swivel, so they can be aimed for optimum imaging.
Crossover: The crossovers are separate components with the output wires attached. The tweeter output level can be changed from flat to -3 dB by moving a jumper pin inside each crossover. The slope is 12 dB/octave and the crossover point is 5 kHz. The inputs are screw terminals that will accept bare wire or spade connectors up to 0.24" wide. The output wires have quick slides attached that easily connect to the terminals on the speakers (0.110" common -, 0.205" tweeter +, and 0.25" woofer +). The crossover dimensions are:
- Width: 2-3/4"
- Height: 1-1/8"
- Depth: 1-3/4"
M-Clip: The crossovers can be mounted to the back of the speaker magnets, or elsewhere, using the M-Clip brackets. When mounted to the speakers, the crossover adds approximately 1-1/8" to the depth and 1-3/8" to the width of one side of the magnet.
