Bring on the bass

Helix Blue Series subwoofers are engineered in Germany to give you more bass performance for the buck. Play it loud

The Helix Blue B10WDVC4 10" sub uses a durable polypropylene-injected cone to deliver plenty of impact, and it can handle up to 250 watts RMS. Don't be afraid to turn it up loud either — the sub's large rubber surround helps keep cone movement under control in its rock-solid aluminum basket so this sub really keeps it together when you crank it. It also comes equipped with dual 4-ohm voice coils, so you have extra flexibility when wiring up multiple subs.

To drive this single subwoofer, we recommend a mono amplifier rated between 200 and 375 watts RMS at 2 ohms. For more information, please refer to our article on How to Match Subwoofers and Amplifiers.

Very good buy. Being on sale helped. It's the perfect setup for my 65 mustang. Powered by zapco. And matched with an alpine r type component set. Satisfied to have great sound to listen to.

I got two of these on sale to replace an older product that failed. The quality is top notch and the sound is very clear. A lot of the sound quality will depend on your installation. Crutchfield shipping is great!

Pros: Cost; got then on sale

Cons: No protection grill included

Hope this helps someone out. Over the past 19yrs i have owned just about every name brand sub out there. When I first got this installed and tuned there wasn't a lot to be impressed with. I soon realized that this speaker had a bit of a lengthy break in period. Over about a 2 week period the sound just kept getting better and better to the point it was mind blowing. Give it some time and you will love it. I am running one of these in a Q CUSTOM sealed box powered by a KICKER 300 mono amp at 2ohms and could not ask for anymore bass.

Pros: overall quality

Cons: break in time

Enclosure Compatibility

Features

Cone Design: The woofer uses an injection-molded polypropylene cone with a raised HELIX logo on the dust cap. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also light weight and rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response. The rubber surround is resistant to UV rays for added durability.

Dual 4-ohm Voice Coils: This woofer features dual 4-ohm voice coils, offering wiring flexibility. When the voice coils are wired in parallel the woofer presents a 2-ohm load. When the voice coils are wired in series the woofer presents an 8-ohm load.

Cast Aluminum Basket: The die-cast aluminum basket resists flexing and resonance (ringing).

Terminals: The woofer features two pair of gold plated spring post terminals. They accept pin connectors or bare wire up to 10-gauge.

Enclosure Compatibility

Sealed Box: For the best sound quality when you're short on space, use a sealed enclosure; the optimum internal volume is 0.6 cubic foot. Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer, will handle a lot of power, and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable to all types of music.

Ported Box: The recommended ported box has an internal volume of 1.25 cubic feet with a 3" diameter x 8" long port tube. Ported (or vented) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from less power.
