Compact powerhouse

Audiotec Fischer engineers put their expertise to work, using their own brand of Class D amp technology to create the MATCH MA10FX, a highly efficient, compact, powerful, and sonically pure subwoofer amp. This mono amplifier can power your sub with up to 500 watts RMS, enough to fill most vehicles with powerful bass.

Tuning filters

You can set the MA10FX's crossover filters in a variety of ways to fine-tune your bass: switch on the subsonic filtering to optimize your sub for a ported enclosure, adjust the low-pass filter for keeping the bass clean and distinct, or even use bandpass filtering to accommodate mid-bass drivers. A bass boost lets you add some extra oomph to your mix if you want. The included remote lets you control your sub's volume from the driver's seat.

Features

Match Amplifiers: Match amplifiers by Audiotec Fischer are made in Germany, and are designed for high quality upgrades for your vehicle's OEM sound system. With the complex construction of today's vehicles, adding a Match amplifier can make a significant upgrade to your vehicle's sound system without having to change the OEM head unit or speakers. These compact Class D amplifiers are packed with features, such as low-pass filters, and variable bass boost, to help you fine tune your system. The amps feature an extruded aluminum chassis that dissipate heat so the amp runs cool.

Mono Block Amplifier: The Match MA 10FX is a mono block amplifier that allows you to add one or two subwoofers to your factory or aftermarket sound system.

Power Output: The amplifier delivers a robust 300 watts RMS at 4 ohms, or 500 watts RMS at 2 ohms.

Protection Circuitry: The MA 10FX offers different protection circuits which will shut off the amplifier in case of the following conditions: overheating, over- and under-voltage, short-circuit on the speakers, or false connection.

Diagnostics Error Protection: The amp's high-level input is equipped with the Diagnostics Error Protection circuit, which makes sure the car radio detects the amplifier as a speaker. This avoids creating errors in the vehicle's diagnostic circuit which might deactivate functions of the factory stereo.

Controls

Input Level: The Match MA 10FX amplifier will accept either line-level or speaker-level input signals. A rotary control is provided to match the input sensitivity to the output voltage of the connected head unit. The input sensitivity range for the low-level inputs is 0.4 to 6 volts, while the range for the high-level inputs is 1 to 15 volts.

Low-Pass Filter: The Low-pass Filter allows only the desirable frequencies, those below the set cut-off frequency, to reach the subwoofer. The rotary control lets you set the cut-off frequency between 30Hz and 250Hz. A small screwdriver (not included) is required to adjust the frequency.

Subsonic Filter: The Subsonic Filter cuts off very low, inaudible frequencies which rob amplifier power and could damage the subwoofer. Using a small screwdriver (not included), the rotary control can be set between 10Hz and 50Hz, allowing only the signals above the set frequency (up to the low-pass filter's cut-off frequency) to pass to the subwoofer.

Bass Boost: The bass boost circuits are centered at 45 Hz and continuously variable from 0 dB to +12 dB.

Phase Control: The Phase Control allows you to adjust the phase from 0° to 180°.  This allows you to match the "attack" of the subwoofer to the other speakers in the system. When the subwoofer is out of phase with the other speakers, frequency cancellations occur, weakening the response of the subwoofer. The phase is continually adjustable between 0° and 180°. A small screwdriver (not included) is required to adjust the control.

Bass Volume Remote Control: Included with the amplifier is a Bass Volume Remote Control which plugs directly into the amplifier via an RJ14 phone-type plug. This remote allows you to control the volume of the amplifier from the driver's seat.

Connections

Power: The MA 10FX is equipped with set-screw terminals for power and ground. These terminals will accept up to 4-gauge wire, and are tightened/loosened with the supplied 4mm Allen wrench. (Match recommends a minimum of 8-gauge wire for this amplifier.)

Fuse: The amp is protected by two installed 25-amp ATO fuses. It is recommended that a 50-amp fuse be installed on the power wire, 12" or less from the battery. If you use a pre-packaged amp wiring kit with a fuse that has a different value than 50 amps, you should replace the fuse with a 50-amp fuse.

Remote: The amp's remote turn-on features a set-screw terminal that will accept up to 10-gauge wire, and is tightened/loosened with the supplied 2mm Allen wrench. If using the amp's speaker-level inputs, no remote turn-on wire is required. The amplifier will automatically switch on when it detects a signal from the head unit through the speaker-level input.

Speaker Outputs: The amp has one pair of set-screw speaker output terminals which accept up to 12-gauge wire. They can be tightened/loosened with the supplied 2mm Allen wrench.

Line Input: You can connect the head unit to the amplifier via a line-level input. One pair of stereo RCA jacks are provided on the left side of the amp.

Speaker Level Input: If you are connecting a factory head unit, or an aftermarket unit without preamp outputs, you can use the included speaker-level input harness to connect the head unit. Splice two speaker wires from the head unit onto the 4 wires of the harness and plug it into the Molex connector on the amp.
