Play Music Throughout Your Home

Wouldn't it be great to have music wherever you are in your home? Multi-room audio systems let you keep your music organized in one place — like your computer, or a large CD changer — then easily access it anywhere you'd like. Listen to your favorite songs in the kitchen while you whip up dinner or wind down in the hot tub.

Which solution is right for you?

We've created the chart below to help you decide what kind of system makes sense for you. Here are some key questions to keep in mind:

  • Want to go wireless?
Wireless systems usually offer the easiest installation in any type of home, and they can often tap into your PC music library.
  • Are you installing your system in a finished home or one still under construction?
Systems with room-to-room wiring are usually much easier to install in new homes before the drywall goes up, or in recently built homes that have existing in-wall wiring. Wireless systems tend to be the easiest to install, both in new and finished homes.
  • Would you like unobtrusive in-wall speakers and controls?
If you'd like to have speakers that hide away in your walls or ceiling, consider a multi-room system with in-wall controls for a neat, clean look.
  • What will be your primary source of music?
Some systems play music stored on your PC, or on a hard drive built into the system's central unit. Others play music from components connected to your main audio system, like a CD changer or HD Radio tuner.
