What size screen are you looking for?
Screen size is a diagonal measurement of the TV's screen. For most people, TV size falls into 3 categories:
Small (15" - 24")
Smaller TVs like these are usually ideal for use in a bedroom, kitchen, or home office. Although some are widescreen (16:9), many still have the traditional squarish aspect ratio called 4:3.
Mid-Size (25" - 39")
These TVs make sense as the main TV for many families. Increasingly, these TVs are widescreen sets.
Large (40" - 70")
These TVs are almost always widescreen sets. They're great for watching sports or intense movie viewing.

Don't forget about viewing distance
In the old days of analog TV, you needed to sit at least 8 feet from a 32" TV to ensure a clean picture. (Any closer, and you'd start to see the individual dots, or pixels, that form the picture.) High-Definition digital TVs let you sit a lot closer ( learn more about High-Definition on page 3 of this guide). That means you can put a larger screen in your room than you once could!
