About the Dual XD5250

You can play your store-bought or recorded discs, plus connect a portable player like an iPod® or a satellite radio to the handy front-panel auxiliary input. Tweak your sound with the bass and treble controls, or choose one of the preset EQ curves for a quick, easy adjustment. A pair of RCA outputs makes it easier to add an amp or a powered sub to round out your sound. Throw in some bonus features like a USB charging port, an included remote control, and a detachable face, and you'll be laughing all the way to the bank.

Detachable Face: The Dual XD5250 CD Receiver features a detachable face-plate to deter against theft. The unit comes with two face-fixing screws if you would like to prevent the face-plate from detaching.
Note: The unit does not come with a face case. An optional black vinyl/nylon carrying case (142DFC1X, sold separately) is available.
LCD Display: The XD5250 features a blue/black dot-matrix type LCD display for easy viewing during the day or nighttime.
Illumination Dimmer: The headunit's LCD brightness can be set to either High or Low.
12/24 Hour Clock: The unit's built-in clock will display 12-hour AM/PM time in USA frequency spacing mode. In European frequency spacing mode, the clock will display 24-hour time.
Audio Section
Preset EQ Curves: The Dual CD Receiver features the following preset EQ curves to customize your music listening - Classic, Pop, Rock or Off.
Bass And Treble: The Bass and Treble and be independently adjusted from -6 to +6. Bass and Treble settings are retained for each mode individually. Any adjustments to the Bass or Treble settings automatically cancel the current EQ curve.
Loudness Curve: Activating this feature will enhance the bass and treble frequencies when listening to music at low volume.
Preamp Outputs: The XD5250 is equipped with a pair of rear preamp outputs for connecting an external amplifier.
Beep Confirmation: The in-dash headunit provides an audible beep to confirm button operation. This function can be turned On or Off.
Radio Functions
AM/FM Tuner: The Dual XD5250 features a built-in AM/FM tuner with preset, seek, and manual tuning.
Preset Tuning: You can store up to 18 FM station presets and 12 AM station presets.
Seek Tuning: In addition to preset tuning, XD5250's tuner allows Seek and Manual tuning of AM/FM stations.
Local Tuning: This function activates local tuning for strong station reception only.
Disc Playback
CD Compatibility: The Dual XD5250 headunit supports CD-Audio, CD-R, and CD-RW playback.
Note: The headunit does not support MP3, WMA, or AAC playback.
Playback Modes: The XD5250 offers various playback modes, such as Normal, Repeat, and Random.
Search Modes: The Dual CD receiver offers the following search functions - Fast Forward/Reverse, Skip (Previous/Next), and Intro.
Intro: The Intro function plays the first 10 seconds of each track on a disc.
External Device Connection
Auxiliary Input: The XD5250 features a front-panel 3.5mm auxiliary input for connecting an external portable audio device such as a portable MP3 player.
USB Charging Port: The XD5250 features a front-panel USB type-A port for charging of a battery powered USB device (5V/1A).
Note: This unit does not offer any audio playback or control through the USB port.
Remote Control
Wireless Remote Control: The Dual XD5250 includes an IR remote control for wireless operation of the AM/FM CD receiver. The remote operates off of an single CR2025 3V lithium coin-type battery (included).
