Cobra's XRS 9940 digital radar/laser detector provides top-notch protection with a versatile display that complements your car's interior lighting. It detects 12 different bands at long range and identifies the signals quickly. It will show you if any of 6 radar, 4 laser, or 2 safety signal frequencies are in use in the vicinity, and its 360-degree laser coverage and POP instant-on radar alerts provide additional protection. The XRS 9940 also provides total immunity to VG-2 and advanced Spectre radar detection detection devices and gives you a heads-up when they're in use nearby.

Easy-to-read color display
The XRS 9940 features a 1" color display with graphics that provide instant access to vital information at a glance. The high-resolution screen shows you colorful visual alerts for the specific bands of radar detected, as well as the strength of each signal.

You can choose from five different color themes to match your dash illumination. The built-in strobe display alert warns you if emergency vehicles equipped with traffic-light controlling strobe emitters are approaching, and you'll also get alerts for certain upcoming railroad crossings and road hazard locations.

Convenient extras
The XRS 9940 features three city modes to reduce false alarms in densely populated areas. It also provides voice alerts, and the XRS 9940's intelligent muting control uses relative speed measurements to keep false alerts to a minimum. The voltage display meter lets you keep tabs on your car battery, and a useful 8-point electronic compass provides an added degree of guidance.
