Our take on the Jensen JXP680

Jensen's JXP Series amplifiers deliver over-the-top power and killer looks — without breaking the bank. Top-mount controls give you easy access to the high- and low-pass variable crossovers, input gain adjustment, and a built-in bass boost (adjustable 0-12 dB at 45 Hz).

The aggressively-styled exterior with its blue illuminated Jensen logo will get your installation stylin'. Preamp- and speaker-level inputs allow you to connect the amp to any system, even a factory radio. If you're planning to expand your system later, preamp (pass-through) outputs on JXP Series amps make it easier to hook up a second amplifier.

The JXP680 amplifier powers your full-range speaker system with 60 watts RMS by four channels. In bridged mode, this jammin' Jensen weighs in at 170 watts x 2 — enough to make two 4-ohm subwoofers very happy.

Features

Protection Circuits: The amp automatically turns off in the event of speaker short circuit, low impedance, over heating, or DC offset. The circuit resets when the problem is corrected.

Power LED: The power LED is dual status, green when operating properly and red when any protection circuit is engaged.

Power Supply: A MOSFET power supply is used for cooler and more stable operation.

Heat Sink: This amplifier uses an extruded aluminum heat sink for efficient cooling.

Top Mounted Controls: The gain, crossover, and bass boost controls are on the top of the amp for easy access. They are covered by a removable translucent blue panel.

Crossover: High pass and low pass crossovers are built into the amp, they can both be bypassed for full range operation. The crossover points are continuously variable from 40 to 400 Hz and the crossover points are independently adjustable for all four channels.

RCA Output: The RCA inputs are passed through to two pair of RCA outputs without being crossed over.
