Features
HDTV (ATSC) Tuner: The TV has a
built-in over-the-air HDTV (ATSC) tuner, so you don't have to purchase a
separate digital set-top box to receive and decode over-the-air HDTV/SDTV
signals.
Finer Pixel Dot Pitch DynaFlat HD
CRT: The Finer Pixel Dot Pitch DynaFlat HD CRT improves picture resolution
and brightness with a greater amount of individual picture elements being
illuminated.
Dynamic Multiple Focus Electron
Gun: The Dynamic Multiple Focus Electron Gun achieves better spot focus,
greater corner to corner focus, and presents higher resolution picture quality.
Velocity Scan Modulation:
Velocity Scan Modulation sharply defines edges and outlines by controlling the
speed of transitions between the black and white portions of the signal.
3:2 Pulldown Processing:
The TV uses 3:2 pulldown processing
to correct inherent flaws in film to video frame rate transfers from film,
making a smoother picture with less motion distortion.
Invar Shadow Mask:
The Invar Shadow Mask increases the
consistency of focus and brightness without sacrificing color purity.
Electronic Program Guide: The
TV has an "Electronic Program Guide" to help you navigate through all the
possible viewing options. The guide supplies information, such as program lists,
start and end times of all available channels. In addition, detailed information
about the program is often available in the guide.
Reminder List: If you have made
a scheduled viewing list of programs you would like to see, the channel will be
automatically switched to the scheduled program at the scheduled time even if
you are watching another program.
Automatic Picture Modes:
You can choose one of the following picture modes:
- Dynamic:
for viewing the TV during the day, or when there is bright light in the room
- Movie:
for viewing the TV in low light, or when playing video games
- Standard:
resets the standard factory settings
- Custom:
allows you to adjust and store the following settings: contrast, brightness,
sharpness, color, tint, and color tone
Color Tone Settings: You can
select one of 5 color tone (color temperature) settings: Cool 2, Cool 1, Normal,
Warm 1, Warm 2.
Picture Sizes: You can choose one of the following picture sizes:

16:9: sets the picture to 16:9 wide mode

Panorama: use this mode for the wide aspect ratio of
a panoramic picture

Zoom 1: magnifies the size of the picture and allows
you to move the enlarged picture using the arrows on the remote

Zoom 2: magnifies the size of the picture more than
Zoom 1 and allows you to move the enlarged picture using the arrows on the
remote

4:3 Normal: sets the picture to 4:3 normal mode
Tilt: Due to the earth's
magnetic field there may be some minor image tilt depending upon the TV's
location. If this occurs, you can adjust the picture tilt to the left or right.
LNA (Low Noise
Amplifier): If the TV is operating in a weak-signal area, sometimes the LNA
function can improve the reception by boosting the incoming the signal with a
low-noise preamplifier.
Fine Tuning Channels:
After tuning a station, you can further manually adjust the channel for optimal
reception.
Auto Volume: Auto volume
automatically adjusts the volume of the desired channel by lowering the sound
output when the modulation signal is high or by raising the sound output when
the modulation signal is low.
BBE: The BBE High
Definition Sound Processing circuit adjusts the phase relationships of the low,
mid and high frequencies and the augmentation of the higher and lower
frequencies. The result is improved brilliance and clarity of live recorded
audio programming, soundtracks and music.
Sound Settings: You can choose from the following sound
settings:

Standard: resets the standard factory settings

Music: for watching music videos and concerts

Movies: for watching movies
-
Speech: for watching a show that is mostly dialogue

Custom: makes the Equalizer feature available so you
can adjust the balance and the following frequency bands: 100Hz, 300Hz,
1kHz, 3kHz, and 10kHz
Remote Surf: This feature allows you to set the TV to
return to a particular channel after "surfing" other channels for a certain
amount of time. You can set the timer from zero to 5 minutes in 30-second
intervals.
Sleep Timer: The sleep timer switches the television off after a
specified amount of time. The sleep timer can be set to 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, or
180 minutes.
On/Off Timer: The On/Off timer allows you to program the
television to turn itself on and off by selecting a specific on time and a
specific off time. You can also choose the "On Timer Channel" and "On Timer
Volume."
Remote Control
Multibrand
Remote: The supplied remote is
pre-programmed to operate this unit and a number of functions on other brands of
components, including VCRs, cable boxes, DVD players, and set-top boxes. Several
controls are located under a sliding lid that covers the bottom quarter of the
remote.

Input: This input consists of a single HDMI jack. The HDMI jack can
accommodate a copy-protected digital connection (HDCP) to other devices (such as
digital set-top boxes) that have compatible interfaces.
Note: The HDMI jack
will accept 1080i, 720p, 480p, and 480i signals.
Component Video
Inputs: The 2 sets of component video
inputs will accept 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i signals.
Upgrade Port: The
rear panel of the TV has a Service jack for repair and software upgrades only.
