Q
My 2011 Nissan Frontier SL has the upgraded Rockford Fosgate system, and in this page it looked like it covered up to 2012. However, my package says 1994-2007. Did I purchase the wrong item? Do I need maybe the PAC LP7-4? I want to use the Rockford Fosgate amp, and my Sony DSX-B700 has RCA connections for this. I am new to all this so please give me any guidance on what I need, and maybe access to installation guides. I also need to connect to my steering wheel controls - is this achieved with the PAC SWI-RC-1 steering wheel control interface? If I need to replace the item I purchased, unopened, how would I do that? All info from Crutchfield would be appreciated!

Q
I hooked up a radio in my 2000 pathfinder with just the scosche wire harness but I have no sound why?

It's possible you might have the wrong harness in place Shane. It's hard to confirm with little info, but if you have the Bose premium audio package originally this PAC ROEM-NIS2 interface is what you need for install with a new radio. If you have the non-Bose originally you can use something like the Metra harness in the link below. It's possible the Scosche you used could be a similar basic harness to the Metra 70-7550 below, and that will not work if you have a factory Bose package. If you need the PAC ROEM-NIS2 we should be able to get it to you in a couple business days to get you up and running if you need it! I hope this helps. https://cwww.crutchfield.ad.crutchfield.com/p_120707550/Metra-70-7550-Receiver-Wiring-Harness.html

Does this allow you to keep steering wheel functions on 2002 pathfinder?

Not just that alone, there's a few options in the checkout process that allows the addition of the steering wheel control.

My 2004 350z has a bose subwoofer, will this harness connect that as well as the 4 speakers? I noticed it has 4 output lights for 4 speakers.

can't give you an answer as the items Crutchfield gave me for a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder were specific to my car and equipment.. I had a different Nav/radio unit prior to this one from Crutchfiedl and just like the present model recieved all the goodies i needed and also had good results with support when i asked questions. Hope this helps

Q
Im confused because I bought the Roem-nis2 interface and when I compared the wires to my stereo wires I noticed there ?were extra wires on the interface kit. These wires include white/red, green/red, purple/red, and grey/red. Do I just tie these wires off and put them aside or do I implement them into the connection somehow

Q
Would this work on my 2005 Pathfinder with Bose to keep that Bose and switch original radio to cheap Double Din Android Unit from Amazon?
martin  Oct 07, 2020
1 answer
A
This interface will work in the 2005 Pathfinders that have the stock Bose system but do not have factory installed navigation. It works to install any universal aftermarket radio into the vehicle. It sounds like the radio you describe is a universal model (not vehicle specific model) and should work

I bought this for my 06 g35 sedan. Wired it as instructed. But head unit won't come on when turning the key to accessory. Am I missing something?
thomas  Aug 05, 2020

A
I would check to see if your getting voltage from your signal wire with the key on. That's what tells the head unit to turn on

CD changers that can be controlled by the stock radio will no longer work with an aftermarket radio installed. I wish I had different news for you on that

Will this work with 2012 Xterra pro4x with Rockford fosgate stereo? Wanting to install JVC 740bt.
rebecca  Oct 07, 2019

Yes that is the correct harness for that vehicle to retain the factory amp. We also recommend a dash kit, and steering wheel control adapter (if you need them). You can connect with one of our product advisors to make sure you have a complete cart: https://www.crutchfield.com/I-rET1c290/S-SUliZgSTXG7/support/ContactUs.aspx

Q
if my 2004 pathfinder amp is not working and I install a new stereo, can I bypass the factory bose amp and still use the bose speakers?
lisa  Sep 08, 2019
1 answer
A
If you replace the factory headunit and bypass the amplifier, we recommend replacing the factory speakers with aftermarkets, so you don't risk damaging the new head unit.

The instruction says the low level inputs are for radio up to 25 watts x 4. My Pioneer says it's 14 x 4 RMS but 50 Watts Max. So do I use the low levels or the highs? Instructions aren't quite clear.

My 2010 frontier has a Rockford Fosgate system, this unit- which apparently Crutchfield is recommendong - says it allows you to use the stock Bose amp. Do I have a Bose amp and do I truly need this?

While the description for the harness does state Bose, it is also used to retain other factory amplifiers as well, such as the Rockford Fosgate amp in your truck. The harness is needed to retain the use of the factory amp.

Q
Installed in 03 Altima but volume is extremely low. It says let's you keep the Bose Amp but my car doesn't have the Bose system. Is there a different adapter for the car without an amp?
jerry  Feb 03, 2019

A
If your new radio system has an option to turn on and off the internal app inside the radio make sure it is turned on, I had the same problem, if I turn my app off then I get almost no sound through the speakers, but if I turn it on it's as loud as can be. Just to be clear I am talking about the app that is built-in to the radio not the one built into the vehicle
armando  Feb 08, 2019
A
I did not use this in the 03 Altima. I just wired directly to the wiring harness.
philip  Feb 07, 2019

On my g35 with Bose system there was a choice on harness selection, with or without Bose system
ralph  Feb 07, 2019

I HAD a Bose system (that died) but no Bose Amp. I used this same interface on my Infiniti plus I had to buy a new stereo. It works great, very loud. Perhaps you got a defective interface?
jose  Feb 06, 2019
A
I think if you don't have the Bose system, then you just need the regular wiring harness vs the Bose adapter and the regular wiring harness. I would call cruthfield if your still having issues.
eric  Feb 06, 2019
A
Try and turn the volume up on factory stereo before disconnecting it (turn volume to full then turn key off)
john  Feb 06, 2019
A
I'm pretty sure if you're installing a stereo in a non Bose Altima you need a wiring harness not an imterface. The whole point of an interface is to retain the amplifier and make sure the speaker signal is not being amplified by both the stereo and the amp
