This display is a monitor only — there is no built-in tuner of any type. For standard broadcasts, one easy solution is to make use of the TV tuner built into your VCR. To receive high-definition signals, connect a separate HDTV tuner. The set's "jack pack" includes composite, S-video, and HD-compatible component video inputs. You also get one HDMI and two DVI digital video inputs for use with compatible HD tuners and DVRs, as well as "upconverting" DVD players. Even the PC input can accept signals up to 1080p.
A powerful built-in "scaler" converts all incoming video signals to match the LCD panel's 1080p native resolution. Sound quality is quite good, also, thanks to a built-in 3-speaker system.
