Auxiliary Input: The DEH-P800PR is equipped with a \r\nbottom-front panel 2.5mm stereo minijack auxiliary input for connecting external \r\ncomponents, such as a portable MP3 player, DVD, or VCR. Once AUX 1 is selected \r\nas a source, you can change the source display of the input to any 10-character \r\nname. The unit's electronic front-panel must be slid down to access this input. A second auxiliary device can be connected to this unit when an optional \r\nadapter is connected to the IP-Bus connector on the rear panel. 2nd Auxiliary Input: You can \r\nconnect an auxiliary component by connecting a Pioneer IP-Bus/RCA connector \r\n(sold separately). The CD-RB10 lets you connect one auxiliary \r\ncomponent, and the CD-RB20 lets you connect an auxiliary component and a CD \r\nchanger via the IP-Bus connector on the back of the head unit. The 10-character name of the \r\nconnected auxiliary component can be entered into memory, and will appear as you \r\ncycle through the sources.

Auto TA (Time Alignment) and EQ (Equalization): \r\nThe Pioneer Premier DEH-P800PRS comes with a wired set-up microphone for \r\nautomatic time alignment and equalization to make setting up your vehicle's car \r\nstereo system simple. The supplied microphone plugs into the bottom 2.5mm port \r\non the face-plate (which must be in the down position) and should be placed in the center of the driver's seat \r\nheadrest facing forward (stop the car in a place that is as quiet as possible, \r\nclose all doors, windows, and the sun roof, and turn the engine off). The auto-time alignment is automatically \r\nadjusted for the distance between each speaker and the listening position. The \r\nauto-equalizer automatically measures the car's interior acoustic \r\ncharacteristics, and then creates the auto-equalizer curve based on that \r\ninformation.

BMX Compression: Using the BMX and Compression functions let you \r\nadjust the sound playback quality of this unit. Each of the functions has a \r\ntwo-step adjsutment. BMX controls sound reverberations to give playback a fuller \r\nsound. The Compression function balances the output of louder and softer sounds \r\nat higher volumes.

Loudness: Loudness compensates for deficiencies in the low and high \r\nfrequencies at low volumes.

Digital Attenuator: When listening to a CD or other source on which \r\nthe recording level is high, setting the equalizer curve level to high may \r\nresult in distortion. You can switch the digital attenuator to low to reduce \r\nthis distortion.

Source Level Adjustment (SLA): This function lets you adjust \r\nthe volume level of each source to prevent radical changes in volume when \r\nswitching between sources. Settings are based on the volume level of the FM \r\ntuner, which remains unchanged. Each source can be independently adjusted from \r\n-4dB to +4dB.
\r\n
Auto-Flap Motorized Detachpable Face: The Pioneer Premier DEH-P800PRS features \r\nan Auto-Flap Motorized Face. Simply push the OPEN button and the motorized face \r\nplate slides down to expose the CD slot, and back again when the CD's loaded. \r\nAnother advantage with this design is that slide-down face protects the CD slot \r\nfrom dust. The electronic face-plate is also detachable. Just push the OPEN \r\nbutton, pull the face toward you, and pop it into the included face case. If the \r\nfront panel is not detached from the head unit within five seconds of turning \r\noff the ignition, a warning tone will sound. The warning tone can be turned off \r\nin the menu, if desired. Face-fixing holders and screws are supplied for making \r\nthe face non-detachable, if desired.

Pure White OEL Mulit-Language Display:\r\nThe Premier DEH-P800PRS uses an exclusive White OEL (Organic \r\nElectro-Luminescent) display with an adjustable twelve step brightness setting. This creates a clean, easy-to-read display that \r\neasily fits in with any dashboard. For extra convenience, the headunit offers a \r\nmulti-language menu, which can show information in three different \r\nlanguages-English, French, or Spanish. Using the Rotary Commander, allows you to \r\nchange default language for all screen displays and menus.

Entertainment Displays: You can enjoy various entertainment displays \r\nwhile listening to each sound source. You can select from 4 visual backgrounds, \r\n4 background pictures, 2 spectrum analyzers, a level meter, a level indicator, \r\nbattery voltage indicator, an entertainment clock, movie screen, or Off.

Switchable Button Illumination: The headunit's button illumination can \r\nbe changed to either white or blue.

Disc Naming: You can use the \r\ndisc title input feature to store up to 48 CD titles in the unit's memory. Each \r\ntitle can be up to 10 characters long.

Text Scroll: This unit can display the first 14 letters of disc title, \r\ndisc artist name, track title, and track artist name. When the text information \r\nis longer than 14 letter, you can scroll the text information using Ever Scroll. \r\nWhen the Ever Scroll feature is set to On, recorded text information scrolls \r\ncontinuously on the display. It will auto-scroll up to 64 characters. Set this \r\nfeature to Off if you prefer the information to scroll only once.

Display \r\nIllumination/Clock Display: When the Clock \r\nDisplay has been turned on, pressing and holding the Source button turns off \r\naudio output, but the clock displayremains on. When \r\nthe Clock Display has been turned off, pressing and holding the source button \r\nturns the unit off completely. Even if you have turned the radio completely off \r\nyou can view the clock display be pressing the clock button. The clock will then \r\nremain On until you turn it back Off. When the unit is On you can select between \r\nthe clock display or the audio track/tuner display.

Dimmer: The dimmer function will dim this unit's display \r\nautomatically when the vehicle light switch is turned On when you connect \r\norange/white Illumination wire of this player.

Remote Control: The \r\nPremier DEH-P800PRS \r\ncomes with a wireless remote control (CXC5717). The remote allows you to control \r\nthe volume, switch between sources, pause the CD, change the display, and adjust \r\nthe audio. The attenuator button allows you to quickly lower the volume by about \r\n90%. The head unit also has a 3.5mm minijack on the back panel for connecting an optional wired remote control, such as the CD-MR70 or CD-MR80 (130CDMR70 or 130CDMR80). In addition, the PAC SWI-PS steering wheel remote interface is compatible with this head unit.

iPod Ready: Using the Pioneer CD-iB100ii iPod Control \r\nInterface Adapter (130IB100II, sold separately) you can connect select iPods to \r\nthe Premier DEH-P800PRS. The Premier DEH-P800PRS provides audio playback, control, information \r\ndisplay, and charging for your iPod when connected via the CD-iB100ii (your \r\nconnected iPod's control will be locked). The \r\nPremier DEH-P800PRS is compatible with the following iPods via the CD-iB100ii iPod \r\nadapter: iPod click-wheel (3rd generation), iPod color/photo (4th generation), \r\niPod mini (1st/2nd generation), iPod video (5th generation), iPod classic \r\n(80/120/160GB), iPod nano (1st/2nd/3rd/4th generation), iPod touch (1st/2nd \r\ngeneration), and iPhone/iPhone 3G. The adapter uses the CD changer input on the \r\nPioneer head unit. If you also want to use a CD changer, satellite tuner, or \r\nother IP-BUS device, there is a pass-through connection on the adapter, so they \r\ncan be daisy chained together.

Satellite Radio Ready: You can connect and control an \r\nexternal satellite radio tuner from XM or SIRIUS. The head unit is compatible with the GEX-P920XM (item \r\nnumber 130P920XM) Pioneer XM \r\nreceiver. For Sirius, connect the SC-C1 SiriusConnect \r\nUniversal Vehicle tuner and the CD-SB10 Pioneer \r\nSirius Satellite Radio interface (package item number 700SIRPION) A subscription \r\nto XM or Sirius, plus the proper antenna is required in order to receive \r\nsatellite radio programming. The satellite radio tuners connect via the IP-Bus \r\nconnector on the back of the head unit.

Optional USB Adapter: You can also use this unit to control \r\na USB adapter (CD-UB100, sold separately) to playback audio from a portable \r\naudio player that features a USB interface. The CD-UB100 allows you to listen to \r\nsongs by connecting a USB portable audio/player USB memory that is USB Mass \r\nStorage Class compliant. This USB adapter plugs into the IP-Bus port on back of \r\nthe radio and features a IP-Bus pass-through for daisy chaining another IP-Bus \r\ncompatible component.

IP-Bus Changer Controls: You can \r\nadd an IP-Bus-compatible 6-disc or 12-disc Pioneer CD changer, and control it \r\nfrom the head unit. The unit feature the following CD-changer features. \r\n

CD Text disc titles, artist names and track titles longer than 8 \r\n\tcharacters may be scrolled once to reveal the entire string of text by \r\n\tholding down the Display button. \r\n\t \r\n\t

CD Sound \r\n\tQuality Adjustment: Using the "COMP" (compression) and "DBE" (dynamic \r\n\tbass emphasis) functions, you can adjust the playback quality of the \r\n\tchanger. Local Tuning: Local seek tuning \r\nlets you tune in only those radio stations with sufficiently strong signals for \r\ngood reception. There are 4 level of sensitivity for FM and two levels for AM. \r\nThe higher settings allow reception of only the strongest stations, while lower \r\nsettings let you receive progressively weaker stations.

24-Bit Burr Brown DAC: The headunit features a 24-bit \r\nBurr-Brown DAC for the purest sound quality when playing back your Audio CDs and \r\ncompressed music files.

MP3/WMA/WAV Playback:\r\nThis unit can play MP3/WMA/WAV files recorded on CD-ROM, CD-R, and CD-RW discs \r\nin ISO9660 Level 1/Level 2, Joliet, and Romeo formats. MP3 files with a bit rate \r\nfrom 8-320 kbps, WMA files with a constant bit rate from 48-320 kbps, and WMA \r\nfiles with a variable bit rate from 48-384 kbps are supported. The unit is \r\ncompatible with ID3 Tags and will display artist, folder, file, and album name, \r\nplus comments. Up to 8 directories, 99 folders and 999 files per disc are \r\nrecognized by this unit.

AAC Decoding: This unit will \r\nplayback AAC files encoded by iTunes recorded onto CDs, however files purchased \r\nfrom the iTunes Music Store (.m4p file extension) are not compatible. Tracks \r\nrecorded at transmission rates of 16-320 kbps are playable on this unit.
\r\n
Auxiliary Input: The DEH-P800PR is equipped with a \r\nbottom-front panel 2.5mm stereo minijack auxiliary input for connecting external \r\ncomponents, such as a portable MP3 player, DVD, or VCR. Once AUX 1 is selected \r\nas a source, you can change the source display of the input to any 10-character \r\nname. The unit's electronic front-panel must be slid down to access this input. A second auxiliary device can be connected to this unit when an optional \r\nadapter is connected to the IP-Bus connector on the rear panel. Both Aux 1 and \r\nAux 2 must be turned on in the setup menu in order to be selected as a source. \r\nSee below for more information on the 2nd Auxiliary Input.

2nd Auxiliary Input: You can \r\nconnect an auxiliary component by connecting a Pioneer IP-Bus/RCA connector \r\n(sold separately). The CD-RB10 lets you connect one auxiliary \r\ncomponent, and the CD-RB20 lets you connect an auxiliary component and a CD \r\nchanger via the IP-Bus connector on the back of the head unit. The 10-character name of the \r\nconnected auxiliary component can be entered into memory, and will appear as you \r\ncycle through the sources.

Three 5-Volt Preamp Output: The Pioneer Premier DEH-P800PRS features \r\nthree 5-Volt preamp outputs (Front, Rear, and Sub). The Front and Rear preamp \r\noutputs feature fade control, while the subwoofer preamp output is non-fading.

Position Control: For a better sound-stage you can select \r\nyour optimal listening position. You can choose from All, Front Left, Front \r\nRight or Front. You can also select to manually fine tune the sound stage by \r\nselecting the distance for each individual speaker in the vehicle compared to \r\nyour listening position.

Auto TA (Time Alignment) and EQ (Equalization): \r\nThe Pioneer Premier DEH-P800PRS comes with a wired set-up microphone for \r\nautomatic time alignment and equalization to make setting up your vehicle's car \r\nstereo system simple. The supplied microphone plugs into the bottom 2.5mm port \r\non the face-plate (which must be in the down position) and should be placed in the center of the driver's seat \r\nheadrest facing forward (stop the car in a place that is as quiet as possible, \r\nclose all doors, windows, and the sun roof, and turn the engine off). The auto-time alignment is automatically \r\nadjusted for the distance between each speaker and the listening position. The \r\nauto-equalizer automatically measures the car's interior acoustic \r\ncharacteristics, and then creates the auto-equalizer curve based on that \r\ninformation.

Audio Operation Modes: This unit features two operation modes: the \r\n3-way network mode (NW), and the standard mode (STD).

3-Way Network Mode (NW): This mode lets you create a 3-way \r\n\tmulti-amp, multi-speaker system with separate speakers for reproduction of \r\n\thigh, middle and low frequencies (bands), each driven by a dedicated power \r\n\tamp using the headunit's three 5-volt preamp outputs. The 3-way network mode \r\n\tprovides network and time alignment functions; two functions essential for a \r\n\tmulti-amp, multi-speaker system to enable precise control over settings for \r\n\teach frequency range. The 3-way network mode also enables low-pass, \r\n\thigh-pass, level, and phase adjustments. \r\n\t

Slope: You can adjust the HPF/LPF/MPF slope for each speaker \r\n\t\tunit connected - LPF Slope (-36, -30, -24, -18, or -12 dB/oct), MPF \r\n\t\t(-24, -18, -12, -6, or 0 dB/oct), and HFP (-24, -18, -12, or -6 dB/oct). \r\n\t\t

Level: You can adjust the level of each speaker unit \r\n\t\tconnected - High Frequencies (-24 to 0 dB), Mid Frequencies (-24 to 0 \r\n\t\tdB), and Low Frequencies (-24 to +6 dB).

Phase: You can switch Phase (Normal or Reverse) for each \r\n\t\tspeaker unit's input signal.

Subwoofer Output: This unit is equipped with a dedicated \r\n\t\tsubwoofer preamp output which can be turned on or off. High Pass Filter: The headunit features an independent High \r\n\t\tPass Crossover Filter for the Front and Rear speakers. You can set the \r\n\t\tHigh Pass Filter for the front and rear speakers from 50, 63, 80, 100, \r\n\t\t125, 160, or 200 Hz. You can also adjust the slope of the HPF to -12, -6 \r\n\t\tor 0 dB/oct.

Custom EQ 1 & 2: The headunit features an adjustable 16-band \r\n\tgraphic equalizer (20Hz, 31.5hz, 50Hz, 80Hz, 125Hz, 200Hz, 315hz, 500Hz, \r\n\t800Hz, 1.25kHz, 2kHz, 3.15kHz, 5kHz, 8kHz, 12.5kHz, and 20kHz. Each center \r\n\tfrequency can be adjusted from -6 to +6 dB.

BBE Sound: With BBE, playback very close to the original sound can be \r\nobtained by correction with a combination of phase compensation and high-range \r\nboost for the delay of the high-frequency components and the amplitude deviation \r\noccurring during playback. This function makes it possible to reproduce the \r\ndynamic sound field as if you are listening to a live performance. You can \r\nadjust the BBE sound processing technology form -4 to +4.

BMX Compression: Using the BMX and Compression functions let you \r\nadjust the sound playback quality of this unit. Each of the functions has a \r\ntwo-step adjsutment. BMX controls sound reverberations to give playback a fuller \r\nsound. The Compression function balances the output of louder and softer sounds \r\nat higher volumes.

Loudness: Loudness compensates for deficiencies in the low and high \r\nfrequencies at low volumes.
\r\n
Digital Attenuator: When listening to a CD or other source on which \r\nthe recording level is high, setting the equalizer curve level to high may \r\nresult in distortion. You can switch the digital attenuator to low to reduce \r\nthis distortion.
\r\n
Source Level Adjustment (SLA): This function lets you adjust \r\nthe volume level of each source to prevent radical changes in volume when \r\nswitching between sources. Settings are based on the volume level of the FM \r\ntuner, which remains unchanged. Each source can be independently adjusted from \r\n-4dB to +4dB.
\r\n
Auto-Flap Motorized Detachpable Face: The Pioneer Premier DEH-P800PRS features \r\nan Auto-Flap Motorized Face. Simply push the OPEN button and the motorized face \r\nplate slides down to expose the CD slot, and back again when the CD's loaded. \r\nAnother advantage with this design is that slide-down face protects the CD slot \r\nfrom dust. The electronic face-plate is also detachable. Just push the OPEN \r\nbutton, pull the face toward you, and pop it into the included face case. If the \r\nfront panel is not detached from the head unit within five seconds of turning \r\noff the ignition, a warning tone will sound. The warning tone can be turned off \r\nin the menu, if desired. Face-fixing holders and screws are supplied for making \r\nthe face non-detachable, if desired.

Pure White OEL Mulit-Language Display:\r\nThe Premier DEH-P800PRS uses an exclusive White OEL (Organic \r\nElectro-Luminescent) display with an adjustable twelve step brightness setting. This creates a clean, easy-to-read display that \r\neasily fits in with any dashboard. For extra convenience, the headunit offers a \r\nmulti-language menu, which can show information in three different \r\nlanguages-English, French, or Spanish. Using the Rotary Commander, allows you to \r\nchange default language for all screen displays and menus.

Entertainment Displays: You can enjoy various entertainment displays \r\nwhile listening to each sound source. You can select from 4 visual backgrounds, \r\n4 background pictures, 2 spectrum analyzers, a level meter, a level indicator, \r\nbattery voltage indicator, an entertainment clock, movie screen, or Off.

Switchable Button Illumination: The headunit's button illumination can \r\nbe changed to either white or blue.

Disc Naming: You can use the \r\ndisc title input feature to store up to 48 CD titles in the unit's memory. Each \r\ntitle can be up to 10 characters long.

Text Scroll: This unit can display the first 14 letters of disc title, \r\ndisc artist name, track title, and track artist name. When the text information \r\nis longer than 14 letter, you can scroll the text information using Ever Scroll. \r\nWhen the Ever Scroll feature is set to On, recorded text information scrolls \r\ncontinuously on the display. It will auto-scroll up to 64 characters. Set this \r\nfeature to Off if you prefer the information to scroll only once.

Display \r\nIllumination/Clock Display: When the Clock \r\nDisplay has been turned on, pressing and holding the Source button turns off \r\naudio output, but the clock displayremains on. When \r\nthe Clock Display has been turned off, pressing and holding the source button \r\nturns the unit off completely. Even if you have turned the radio completely off \r\nyou can view the clock display be pressing the clock button. The clock will then \r\nremain On until you turn it back Off. When the unit is On you can select between \r\nthe clock display or the audio track/tuner display.

Dimmer: The dimmer function will dim this unit's display \r\nautomatically when the vehicle light switch is turned On when you connect \r\norange/white Illumination wire of this player.

Remote Control: The \r\nPremier DEH-P800PRS \r\ncomes with a wireless remote control (CXC5717). The remote allows you to control \r\nthe volume, switch between sources, pause the CD, change the display, and adjust \r\nthe audio. The attenuator button allows you to quickly lower the volume by about \r\n90%. The head unit also has a 3.5mm minijack on the back panel for connecting an optional wired remote control, such as the CD-MR70 or CD-MR80 (130CDMR70 or 130CDMR80). In addition, the PAC SWI-PS steering wheel remote interface is compatible with this head unit.

iPod Ready: Using the Pioneer CD-iB100ii iPod Control \r\nInterface Adapter (130IB100II, sold separately) you can connect select iPods to \r\nthe Premier DEH-P800PRS. The Premier DEH-P800PRS provides audio playback, control, information \r\ndisplay, and charging for your iPod when connected via the CD-iB100ii (your \r\nconnected iPod's control will be locked). The \r\nPremier DEH-P800PRS is compatible with the following iPods via the CD-iB100ii iPod \r\nadapter: iPod click-wheel (3rd generation), iPod color/photo (4th generation), \r\niPod mini (1st/2nd generation), iPod video (5th generation), iPod classic \r\n(80/120/160GB), iPod nano (1st/2nd/3rd/4th generation), iPod touch (1st/2nd \r\ngeneration), and iPhone/iPhone 3G. The adapter uses the CD changer input on the \r\nPioneer head unit. If you also want to use a CD changer, satellite tuner, or \r\nother IP-BUS device, there is a pass-through connection on the adapter, so they \r\ncan be daisy chained together.

Satellite Radio Ready: You can connect and control an \r\nexternal satellite radio tuner from XM or SIRIUS. The head unit is compatible with the GEX-P920XM (item \r\nnumber 130P920XM) Pioneer XM \r\nreceiver. For Sirius, connect the SC-C1 SiriusConnect \r\nUniversal Vehicle tuner and the CD-SB10 Pioneer \r\nSirius Satellite Radio interface (package item number 700SIRPION) A subscription \r\nto XM or Sirius, plus the proper antenna is required in order to receive \r\nsatellite radio programming. The satellite radio tuners connect via the IP-Bus \r\nconnector on the back of the head unit.

Optional USB Adapter: You can also use this unit to control \r\na USB adapter (CD-UB100, sold separately) to playback audio from a portable \r\naudio player that features a USB interface. The CD-UB100 allows you to listen to \r\nsongs by connecting a USB portable audio/player USB memory that is USB Mass \r\nStorage Class compliant. This USB adapter plugs into the IP-Bus port on back of \r\nthe radio and features a IP-Bus pass-through for daisy chaining another IP-Bus \r\ncompatible component.

CD Sound \r\n\tQuality Adjustment: Using the "COMP" (compression) and "DBE" (dynamic \r\n\tbass emphasis) functions, you can adjust the playback quality of the \r\n\tchanger.
