Ken: Hi, I'm Ken and this is Robert.

Robert: Hello.

Ken: We're going to look at the JVC KD-AVX44 in-dash DVD receiver.

Robert: That's a mouthful.

Ken: It is. It's better remembered as the El Kameleon.

Robert: El Kameleon.

Ken: Yep.

Robert: As in, color-changing —

Ken: Sort of. Check this out.

Robert: Okay, powering down — and there we go.

Ken: Yeah. It's a security feature. When you're not using the El Kameleon, turn it off. It goes black. It doesn't look like you have a receiver in your dash at all.

Robert: Nice.

Ken: Yeah, and you can take the face off also, if you want to elect more security. But that's a nice feature when you're out and about on the town. I like this receiver for a lot of reasons besides that. It's got every feature you can think of — USB input, Bluetooth, it plays DVDs, of course when your parking brake is on. And it's expandable — you can add HD Radio, iPod controls, etc.

Robert: It does everything, then.

Ken: Yeah. This is cool too: it's all touch control.

Robert: Wow.

Ken: You know, for example, you just press and release, get a different look. Press, release — get something different. You'll notice that this goes off after a second. And then to get it back on, after a pause —

Robert: I guess that's going to take a while.

Ken: You touch — you don't even touch it.

Robert: You don't even touch it. You just got near and it sensed your presence.

Ken: It has a tilt feature, too.

Robert: This way, you can get the exact angle you need to be able to see it from the driver's seat.

Ken: Want to put a DVD or CD in, just press there.

Robert: Motorized faceplate — that's really cool.

Ken: Yeah — very elegant. And it's just got a great feel to it. It really has a solid feel.

Robert: I imagine after you spend a few minutes with it, getting used to the controls and learning your way around, it's really easy to use.

Ken: It's pretty intuitive. That's the JVC KD-AVX44 El Kameleon.
