Learn about key things to consider when choosing a TV wall mount.

Shawn: So you've got that new TV, and you could put it on the same old TV stand, or you could mount it on the wall, and it'll look really cool. To do that you're going to need a wall mount.

If you are wall-mounting your TV, you want to invest in a quality bracket that'll support the size and weight of the TV. If you're putting it on the wall, you want to make sure it's up there securely.

So now you need to think about where you're going to mount the TV. It's recommended that it's at eye level for the best viewing angle. If you do need to mount it higher though, you can get a tilting bracket, and that'll give you a good angle as well. Or, if you've got a few spots around the room that you do like to watch TV, you might want to consider a bracket that you can swivel from side to side.

Once it's time to wall-mount your TV, just make sure you have everything you need, and if you're not 100% comfortable you can always hire a professional.
