Stereo Input: The Klipsch R-2800-CSM stereo input in-ceiling speaker can be used in bathrooms, hallways, or anywhere mounting multiple speakers is not practical. The dual spring clip terminals accept signals from both left and right channels; the dual voice coil woofer sums the low frequencies from the stereo input to mono and the coaxially mounted dual-tweeter array reproduces the left and right channels independently.

High Efficiency: The high-efficiency design of the Klipsch speakers offers more output than most in-wall and in-ceiling models. Due to the long speaker wire runs common in whole-house audio systems, the power coming from the amplifier is often significantly reduced by the time it reaches the speakers. The 94 dB efficiency of this speaker means it will play louder at low power than less efficient speakers.

Speaker Terminals: The speaker has two pair of spring clip terminals for stereo input; they accept pin connectors or bare wire up to 12 gauge, Klipsch recommends 18 gauge minimum.

Basket/Frame: The R-2800-CSM has a sturdy ABS frame. The frame can be painted to match any decor (a clear paint mask is supplied to protect the drivers from overspray). The metal mesh grille is also paintable.

Mounting Options

Installation: The speaker can be installed in new or existing construction; it requires an opening 9.75" in diameter. For new construction, purchase of the IK-800-C installation kit (item number 714IK800C) is recommended. For existing construction, the mounting surface should be at least 3/8" thick. When mounting into a drop ceiling, Klipsch recommends replacing the original panel with 1/2" or 3/4" plywood or MDF. A cardboard template is included to assist you in making the cutout.
