After pluging it into the car it did not look right so I tried to unplug it but the cable separated from the plug! Have to get a new one. Never had a chance to see if the cable even worked.

It was free with the purchase of a headunit

Antenna Adapter

Written By Phil, Queen Valley, AZ on Thursday, February 21, 2013
Installed in a 2012 Jeep Wrangler
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The keyed end of this that goes into the vehicle cable would not allow for connection so I broke off the plastic surrounding the actual connector and was able to secure it to the cable from the antenna. Some tape gives a bit of support for the connection but may not be necessary.
Pros:
It worked.
Cons:
The keyed plastic adapter would not mate correctly.

Does the job

Written By John M., North Branch, MN on Monday, February 04, 2013
Installed in a 2011 Dodge Truck Dakota
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Worked but only after some difficulty. Before using a pliers to reseat it, I couldn't receive any AM stations and only about 3 FM stations with nothing in HD.
Pros:
Works, but not easily
Cons:
Too long and too tight of a fit to factory antenna plug. Had to take it out and work hard to get it to seat properly.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I used this adapter for my Pioneer AVH-X1500 which is installed in my 2011 Grand Cherokee. The connections are tight and the cable length is fine, could be a little shorter but it really is not a problem at all.
Pros:
Tight, Secure Connection
Cons:
None

Antenna Adapter

Installed in a 2007 Jeep Wrangler
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The first one sent did not work - the connection was loose. The second one did. Must make sure the connections go all the way into the other end (radio & car). If they are loose or poorly fitted it will not work no matter how much you mess with it. The car side must close the gap entirely to be seated.

A little long

Written By MattN, Cameron, NC on Saturday, January 19, 2013
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Needed this to put a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X696 in my BMW E46. The length of it made it a little difficult to slide the radio in. It kept getting in the way, and I had to take out my AC controls to maneuver the radio in. Also, I had to tape the connection that plugged into the radio because it kept sliding out. The cable is stiff and doesn't bend very well. I would've been happier with an adapter plug. I didn't look into other options & left it up to Crutchfield.
Pros:
Fit my radio.
Cons:
Lengthy, stiff cable. Had to tape the connection.

Works fine. I wish it was shorter. In have a bmw 325i and there is very limited space behind the head unit and it this was shorter it would've been an easier install.

Not Usable

Written By Anonymous, San Marcos TX on Saturday, December 15, 2012

I received two of these, and neither worked in my 2008 Dodge Dakota Extended Cab. The first one would no fit, so I called tech support that essentially said that I had a bad one. A second was sent to experience the same thing. I called tech support to simply tell me to go to a nearby store to find one that does work. In desperation I rigged it by stripping the wire and using electrical tape. Done.
Pros:
Plugs into the aftermarket radio
Cons:
Does not plug into the vehicle connect

not an easy snap

Written By papahood, Illinois on Sunday, November 11, 2012
Installed in a 2012 Dodge Avenger
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

When I originally snapped this into the plug from the car ( 2012 Dodge Avenger) I thought it went all the way in, but after driving around was getting a lot of static. I decided to pull it back out and check and sure enough i didn't have it all the way in. The thing is it wouldn't go any further with just pushing with your fingers i had to get some pliers and carefully squeeze them together until it finally snapped in...now all is good
Pros:
free w/ purchase
Cons:
cheap stuff that doesn't fit totally correctly

I had to take the black piece off and a piece off my cars antenna wire to make it work. I couldn't get them to connect correctly. It seem to be working just fine.
Cons:
Didn't match up so I had to modify it.
