    Features

    Overview: This Premier Mounts AM250 universal mounting bracket is designed to mount most flat-panel TVs from 37" to 50", and support up to 125 pounds. The mount's scissor-style Universal Swingout Arm allows you to easily pull the TV up to 16" away from the wall, and push it back to approximately 3-1/2" from the wall when collapsed. Once extended, you can pivot the TV up to 45° left or right, and can tilt forward up to 10° for best positioning.

    Construction: This heavy-duty wall-mount bracket is made from rigid steel tubing. The powder-coated finish matches the look and feel of many of today's LCD and plasma TVs.

    Important Mounting Recommendations: The wall structure must be capable of supporting a great deal of weight. The mounting bracket weighs nearly 40 pounds, and the maximum load capacity of the mount is 125 pounds. If the wall structure is not capable of supporting the weight, it must be reinforced. At least two qualified persons should perform the installation procedure.

    Mount Installation: The mount can be installed on wood wall studs with a 16", 18", or 24" center using the supplied 3" lag bolts. It can also be installed on a solid flat concrete wall (appropriate hardware is required, sold separately). The maximum mounting slot spacing is 27" wide and 12-1/2" high.

    TV Installation: The TV is attached to the AM250's vertical mounting brackets which hang onto the horizontal universal bracket bars. The brackets can accommodate a TV with a horizontal mounting screw spacing of 7-5/8" (194mm) to 29-3/16" (741mm), and a vertical mounting screw spacing of 1" (25mm) to 20-1/4" (514mm). The mounting bracket includes M4, M5, M6, and M8 hardware in varying lengths to accommodate most flat panel mounting requirements.

    VESA Mounting Patterns: Given the mounting bracket's range of motion, it can accommodate TVs with the following VESA mounting patterns:

    • 200 x 100
    • 200 x 200
    • 300 x 200
    • 400 x 200
    • 400 x 300
    • 400 x 400
    • 600 x 400

    Required Tools: Installing the AM250 requires the following tools:

    • Stud finder
    • Phillips-head screwdriver
    • Portable drill
    • 1/4" Drill bit (for pilot holes)
    • Tape measure
    • Level
    • Pencil
    • Socket wrench with 1/2" socket
    • Soft material/blanket

    • Wall Plate: Width=28.0", Height=14.0", Depth=1.5"

    Heavy Duty and Easy to Use

    The Premier Mounts AM250 is a fantastic product. The brackets are heavy duty, but easy to assemble, the the TV simply hangs on 2 cross-bars that have locking screws.

    When mounting the bracket, measure twice and make sure that you are going into studs. Once you hold the bracket and realize how solid the components and assembly are, you won't have any reservations about hanging your $1000+ TV from it. I actually did this without help, but I would not recommend it. It's too easy to scrape the walls or make a mistake and drop it.

    When I noticed that I put the bracket on upside down, my wife helped me by holding the bracket as I took it down and flipped it over. Her assistance made the re-installation much easier. I don't think that the mounting orientation is really important, but there are arrows that specify the correct direction.

    There are less expensive mounting products available, but this works very well and is very easy to use. The mfg. sends enough hardware for just about any type of television, including all the required bolts, and spacers to keep you from screwing the mounting bolts too far into your TV where you could damage a circuit board or some other internal component. They even include string to measure the depth of the mounting holes.

    The Premier Mounts AM250 is one heavy-duty mounting bracket. Excellent quality device. No need to worry about your TV falling off the wall. The diagrams and easy to understand instructions made it easy to install.

    Excellent quality, features and price. For the sale price I couldn't find anything close to its value anywhere, online or brick-and-mortar.

    The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is that the mount arms (that contact the wall) could ideally span a few more inches to increase the chances of covering another stud (mine ended up in the middle), but that's a minor issue & will not apply to everyone. I mounted my 3-yr-old LG MU-50PM10 50" plasma with no problem; comes with plenty of extra hardware and flexible mount options.

    Crutchfield's order fulfillment, shipping and support are top shelf.

    When mounting the support brackets on the TV be sure to position them where they will not interfere with the power cord or anything else. I had the mount on the wall, the TV on the mount and went to plug it in and the power cord needed to go directly behind the lower mount bar. Because I wanted the TV right at that height I had to remove the mount from the wall, move it down 1.5 inches and move the TV brackets up 1.5 inches.

    It is a very study mount. A great value. I like being able to tilt and rotate the screen as the TV is not mounted directly in front of the couch (due to the setup of the room).

    I had thought it would be a little easier to adjust the position than it is. The manual tells how to adjust the tension on the tilt, but it doesn't give instructions on the arm angles. The wall and TV ends of the arms have bolts that can be loosened to adjust the force needed to pivot and move out from the wall, but the center pivots of the arms are quite stiff and can't be adjusted. That is fine, once the TV is positioned where you want it, just leave it.

    We priced out several wall mounts for our 42" plamsa TV and found this
    mount at Crutchfield. It took about 35 minutes to install the mount and the
    process was very smooth. Premier gives you plenty of hardware and easy
    instructions. The mount itself is extremely sturdy and is easy to move. We
    had put a cable box and outlet behind the TV and it was simple to pull the
    TV out. I love how it swivels and that you can raise and lower it. This
    mount even lets you pull your TV out to around 16"! You will not be let
    down with this mount! Great value for the money, look and features. You
    do not need to pay $400.00 for a mount when you can easliy have all the
    same options with the Premier mount!

    This is a very good mount for the price. I would guess this should fit any flat panel TV in the weight range listed. Huge selection of hardware to fit different models.
    1/3 the price of similar product at local box store.

    Very solid product with a lot of flexibility on positioning the angle of the TV. Crutchfield price was unbeatable and the item arrived within two days. Don't be dismayed that the instructions say to have a "qualified installer" You just need two people to handle it and the TV for weight and keeping level. You have to be handy enough to find the middle of the studs on your wall. Not rocket science.
