Able to install speakers with minimal fuss. Directions given were not 100% accurate to my vehicle - more like 95% - but the web covered any differences. Mounting slots for speaker are slightly oversized for screw holes on vehicle, but by angling the screws they will fit. Speakers work great for the price I paid.

I purchased these to replace stock speakers in my RV. I'm very happy with the sound for the price. They have a much better range than the original speakers.

There are several pairs of $50 speakers, I ordered these to replace the door speakers in my 1998 maxima. The install took me about 40 minutes for the pair. The fit was not perfect since the four screw holes did not line up exactly, but I made it work with minimal effort. The speakers sound fine, I'm very happy with them for $50.

These speakers sound great! Bass, mids and highs are all well balanced and they sound much better than the factory speakers! Installtion was a little difficult because of the 3 wireing harnesses that I had to un plug.

Good price; however it was recommended through my vehicle finder as a sure fit. It does not fit significantly smaller in size as well sound. The quality and sound of my blown stock sound much better than what was provided. Otherwise shipping was adequate, price was fair. Overall though highly displeased.

Great Factory Replacement Speakers (:

I purchased two pairs of the Pioneer TS-G1644R speakers to replace four factory speakers in my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have owned these speakers for a little over a year, and couldn't be happier. The sound quality is excellent, better than my factory speakers ever were. The power output is 250 watts max, so they can handle a lot of power. Plus, they fit well behind my Jeep's door panels, and they are barely noticeable, until you hear them, of course, which you will then be able to know they're there. I just used self-tapping screws and spliced the factory speaker wiring into them, and that saved me money in the long run. If you need replacement speakers and either don't feel like trying to track down factory speakers or don't want to spend a lot of money, then these speakers are for you! (:

Great Bass and Treble Response, Great Midrange Response, 250w Max Power Output, Barely Physically Noticeable, Sound Great, Low Price (:

Cons:

Bass is a Bit Lacking :(

These speakers sound pretty good. They are a bit tinny and the bass response is not what I expected from the specs. What the specs don't tell you is that the bass response is at -30dB not -3dB like most manufacturers use. So the actual response is down to only about 100Hz at -3dB. A bit disappointing but not bad for the price because the quality makes up for it a bit. Next I will spend the extra $30 and get the Polks. I know for a fact they are speced correctly and sound awesome in my friends car with the same setup I have.

Great Factory Replacement Speakers!

Shortly after I installed a new radio into my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I discovered that my factory speakers were blown (I had the standard four-speaker system, NOT the Infinity premium sound system with six speakers and an amplifier). I needed a relatively low-priced and good-sounding option from a reputable manufacturer. I saw these, and their low price and good sound quality was attractive. They have a high power rating, so they can handle any amplifier up to 250 watts, though I used my radio's built-in high-power amplifier to power them. I purchased two pairs of these, one pair for both front doors, and one pair for both rear doors. They installed easily (I used self-tapping screws and drilled new mounting holes in the doors of my Jeep for my new speakers, and I cut off the factory speaker wiring harnesses and spliced my Jeep's factory door speaker wiring right into my new speakers). They sound awesome, and I can turn up the volume on my radio without having to worry about crackling or watery-sounding speakers. Plus, they're barely, if at all, noticeable at all, behind my Jeep's door panels, so you can't always see them, but you can most definitely hear them. All in all, a great purchase for people looking to replace their vehicle's factory speakers! Highly recommended! (:

Installed this in a 2001 Subaru Forester. Choose these speakers over the Kenwood and JVC due to the product reputation. All three of these speakers were an "exact fit" according to the Crutchfield online vehicle speaker guide. Installation took 20 minutes for both speakers. The speaker grill on my vehicle can be popped out in a few seconds which made the install fairly simple. Installation time could have been quicker but I let my teenage son install both speakers with a ratchet screwdriver instead on my 18v Makita.....didn't want to strip the screws. The harness kit fit perfect and 3 screws holding the speaker was a breeze to install. The TS-G1644R has decent bass with the highs having more of a midrange dominance. I prefer more of a flatter midrange and crisper highs instead. With that being said these speakers are a huge improvement over my stock ones! I'm running a Pioneer head unit with no amp. Might also want to consider Alpine or Polk speakers because in my opinion sound a little better but at 2x the price. My main goal was to purchase good speakers at a reasonable price due to my car being 12 years old. Just passed this car to my teenage son. Going to miss this car!

Pros:

Reasonable, easy install, good sound and Pioneer. 2nd day air shipping.

Cons:

More midrange tones and lacking more of a punchy bass. An amp may help.

I bought these to upgrade my factory system and because of their low price. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I bought 4 and returned them to Crutchfield. Thankfully Crutchfield has an excellent return policy. I installed these in a 2012 GMC Sierra and they were no improvement over the factory speakers. In fact, the factory speakers had much better bass. These did not have much bass at all and the highs were no better than factory. They played all midrange sound and would be great for talk radio but that's about it. Spend just a little more money and get a lot more speaker.

Pros:

They are cheap and easy to install.

Cons:

Most everything else.

Hate to ping Pioneer...not really their fault, especially at this price point, but not the most robust speaker, but they are efficient. My biggest problem was with the Crutchfield description of "fits your vehicle". I could have installed a 1" component tweeter in place of the door speaker and it would have "fit" as well as this 6-1/2. The speaker would have completely fallen into the door if not for the tiny tabs meant for 6-3/4" mounting. There simply wasn't enough speaker to fill the hole. I had to make custom adapter plates to make these fit properly. Furthermore, the factory wiring plug was so far away from the speaker that the "free" adapters were way too short. I had to lengthen them by about 6-7 inches to plug these speakers in.

Pros:

low price, attractive, efficient

Cons:

on the wimpy side, but how can I complain at this price?
