Does not fit Clarion CX501

This trim piece does not fit the Clarion CX501. I do not know if the radio is too large or if the trim piece is too small, but they are about 2mm off. Crutchfield advertises this as a perfect fit, but speaking with tech support a second time confirmed that the dimensions do not line up. (I thought the technician on my first call was rude. He simply said that it was a standard double-DIN and therefore would fit. No offer to confirm the dimensions of offer any other assistance.)

I am left having to modify the piece or return the radio and purchase another. The second tech was helpful and friendly.
