Thule's Glide and Set kayak carrier package contains everything you need to strap a kayak onto most roof racks. The felt-lined Hydro Glide™ saddles allow you to slide the kayak into position. Once in place, the Set-to-Go™ saddles provide maximum grip with six times more contact area than roller-type loading.

The package also includes all the hardware and straps you need to secure the kayak on your roof. All Thule equipment passes tough European safety standards for car racks.

    Overview: The Thule 883 - Glide and Set is a complete carrier that includes everything needed to transport your kayak safely and securely. The 883 includes one pair ratcheting tie downs, two straps and buckle protectors.

    Compatibility: The Thule 883 fits Thule standard and Xsporter load bars, Yakima, and most factory installed cross bars. Its easy carrier design allows you to transfer from vehicle to vehicle with proven universal hardware.

    Note: May require the use of Xadapt3 (80 MM bolts/item number 094XADAPT3) on some factory applications. This item will require the use of Xadapt3 (80 MM bolts) on our XSporter (421/422) and Rapid Aero Bars.

    Hydro-Glide Saddles: The carriers smooth loading is achieved with low friction, felt lined Hydro-Glide saddles.
