    Works with the Harmony Remote

    Each of the components in my audio/video system has a remote. Drives me nuts when they're all laying around. Solution: A Harmony remote. Unfortunately, my PS3 is a bluetooth remote system and doesn't work with the Harmony, UNLESS I spend an extra $60 for the adapter. Which I did. It works great. Problem solved, rather expensively.
    Pros:
    Eliminates the need to grab for the PS3 controller or the optional Sony remote to interact with PS3.
    Cons:
    Expensive. Requires another electrical outlet in my already cluttered power strip.

    Ever since I bought the PS3 remote control I've always hated having to keep two remotes out. Now that I have this adapter I realize how much of a waste of money that PS3 remote is. I have paired this with my HarmonyLink for a seamless smartphone remote setup in my family room.
    Pros:
    Small, easy to conceal, setup is super easy. As long as it has line-of-sight to your remote it can go anywhere.
    Cons:
    1. Green LED on top always stays on. Completely pointless. Give me a red blinking light when it's not connected like Sony did on the PS3, not an annoying green one when it is... which is always. 2. I wish it had a better indication on the device where the IR receiver is so it would have been easier to connect my IR repeater and conceal this away. Took some trial and error.

    Very simple setup........even a caveman can do it! Works just right and now I have only one remote on the chair-side table. I fully expected a few hiccups but pairing and updating remote went without a hitch. Excellent product. Gotta agree with the other reviewers on the price however. It's just too much for this device, especially after forking over so much for the remote itself. Price is the sole reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

    Fast, easy setup. Completes my one-remote living room.

    I bought this adapter and I have no issues with the functionality. Works as expected. My issue is the cost of the adapter. I feel it should be $20 or less. this price is a lot for what you end up with.

    Easy setup, and it works like a charm. Two issues- once you set your PS3 to work with
    this remote, your Sony PS3 remote is no longer linked. I have a harmony RF remote, if
    you want the RF reciever to talk to this adapter you need to go to the RF setting on the
    remote and click the box beside the PS3 so it will send the signal via RF instead of IR. I
    now truly have one remote that works EVERYTHING!

    This product is simple but effective. It makes operating my PS3 easy when viewing
    bluray disc. I would have given it a 5 star rating, but it seems a little pricey for something
    that seems to be so basic in design.
