Features
Overview: The Kodak Pulse Digital Picture Frame
allows you to display
digital pictures (JPEG, Exif 2.2 files) stored on Memory Cards, a USB Flash
Drive, the unit's internal 512 MB memory, or wirelessly from a variety of sources via a Wi-Fi network.
10" LCD Screen: The Pulse is
equipped with a 10" diagonal 4:3 LCD screen with a resolution of 800 x 480
pixels. The screen has LED backlighting and Kodak Color Science technology to
give you high quality images.
Wi-Fi Compatible: The Pulse is Wi-Fi compatible
(802.11b/g), which allows you to add pictures wirelessly through a free online
account. You can assign an email address to your frame, and receive pictures via
email from your computer or mobile phone, or from your friends. Pictures can be
added from Facebook and Kodak Gallery accounts as well, allowing you to view
them as soon as they're posted. You are automatically alerted as soon as you get
new pictures from friends or family.
Auto Power On/Off: The Pulse is configured to automatically
turn on in the mornings and turn off in the evenings to save energy. Through
your online account, you can change the on/off times, or disable this feature
altogether.
512MB Internal Memory: The
Pulse's 512MB internal memory allows transfer, storage and playback of your
digital photos. You can copy images from an inserted memory
card onto the unit's internal memory so you can return the memory card to your
digital camera for more photos.
Memory Card Slots: The frame is
equipped with two memory card slots that will accommodate several types of
memory cards. One memory card slot will accept SD/SDHC Memory cards, MultiMediaCards
(MMC), xD-Picture cards, and full-sized Memory Sticks (MS). The other memory card slot will accommodate
MS DUO and MS Pro DUO.
USB Port: The Pulse has a USB port on the side of the
frame. The Type-A USB port (2.0 High Speed compliant) can be used for inserting
a USB Flash drive.
Touch Controls: The Pulse digital picture frame has
on-screen touch controls to help you navigate through the available images and
set up your frame. Touch controls include Play, Collage, Information, Delete,
Copy, Transition Time, Friends, Previous/Next, and Health Check (in case there's
a network problem).
Playback Speed/Transitions: You can change how long each
picture is displayed, and the type of transition between pictures:
- 3 Seconds/Wipe: pictures change every 3 seconds with a wipe
transition
- 10 Seconds/Fade: pictures change every 10 seconds with a fade
transition
- 10 Seconds/Zoom & Pan: pictures presented with a slow zooming and
panning effect with fading transitions every 10 seconds
- 1 Minute/Fade: pictures change every 30 seconds with a fade
transition
- 30 Minutes/Fade: pictures change every 30 minutes with a fade
transition
- Smart: pictures change every 3 seconds initially, but if the
screen has not been touched, transition times gradually increase, up to 30
minute intervals
Collage: The frame presents a revolving five-picture slide
show. Five pictures randomly appear on the screen and change every few seconds.
To exit the collage mode, you can touch a picture which will appear full screen.
Copying Images: You can copy pictures from a memory card or
USB device to the frame's internal memory. Copying to a memory card or USB
device is not supported. Copies added to the frame are automatically resized to
a lower resolution (smaller file size). Full resolution is unnecessary for
viewing, and quickly fills up the memory.
Deleting Pictures: You can delete pictures from your frame's
internal memory, or from an inserted memory card or USB device.
Power Requirements: The Kodak Pulse operates off of standard household
current using the supplied AC power adapter (100-240 V AC, 50-60HZ - 5V DC).
