Features
Overview: The Canon EF16-35mm F2.8L II USM lens is a high-performance,
water-resistant, and ultra-wide angle Canon L-series lens. The lens features
an Ultrasonic Motor (USM). The lens features three high-precision aspherical
lens elements, each of a different type: ground, replica, and GMo for even
better image quality than the original EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L USM. The lens includes
the LP1319 Lens Case and the EW-88 Lens Hood.
Ultrasonic Motor (USM): The EF 16-35mm lens is equipped with a ring-type Ultrasonic Motor (USM) for silent, high-speed auto focusing.
Focusing Ring: Regardless of whether you're in manual or auto focus mode, the focusing ring always works. This means you can auto focus on a subject, but manually change the focus by turning
the focusing ring.
Focus Mode Switch: You can switch between Auto Focus and
Manual Focus using the two-way switch on the barrel of the lens.
Zoom Ring: The lens has a rotary type zoom ring. The lens
barrel indicates the zoom range between 16mm and 35mm, with marks at 20mm, 24mm,
and 28mm.
Water/Dust Resistance: The lens mount has a rubber ring for enhanced
water- and dust-resistance.
Lens Hood: The lens kit includes the EW-88 lens hood to keep
unwanted light out of the lens, and protects the front of the lens. The hood can
be reverse-mounted on the lens for storage. When installed, the hood adds
approximately 1-3/16" to the overall length and 13/16" to the overall diameter
of the lens.
Optional Filters: The EF 16-35mm lens has an 82mm mounting thread on the front of lens for attaching screw-on type filters.
