The remote comes with a 13" connection cable, which you can lengthen using standard marine 16-18 gauge wire.

Mounting: The Kenwood KCA-RC60MR is designed to flush-mount using the supplied gasket, two bolts, two flat-washers, and two hex-nuts for mounting the wired remote control.

Connections: The KCA-RC60MR offers a 4-wire installation (Ignition/Remote/Illumination/Ground).

Installation: Up to six KCA-RC60MR marine wired remote control can be used in the same installation.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Waterproof and easy to install...all you need is three wires to connect (power, ground and remote) and maybe illumination if required. It works great and like being in front of unit.
