i would recommend this set of speakers if you need to replace your existing stock speakers because they are blown or just plain suck. Not gonna blow you away, but if you expect that you will get that for 50 bucks you're crazy.

Pros:

emits energy in the form of sound without distortion, easy to install with supplied adapter from crutchfield

Cons:

doesn't make my car go faster, doesn't compare to $100+ speakers (weird!?)

sony has always brought great products and these speakers are included in that. Great price on them with brackets included of coarse afters years of use they will wear and need replaced as any speaker will nothing is forever.

Pros:

Easy installation, great price, cructhfield has super fast shipping on this item. Great sound. If you know what your doing you can soend another $100 and have a great system.

My Toyota Rav4 had AWFUL speakers. Anything would be an upgrade, truly, but I am extremely happy with what I got. Easy to install & the tech support were always available for any questions.

Just installed these in a 2011 ford transit connect with a upgraded JVC radio and there is no real difference in sound. Crutchfield tech suggested i spend more money by buying a amp. Not worth it save your money

Not sure on sound quality, but speaker size was way to small for original speaker hole. Crutchfield recommended 5 1/2 in but takes 6 1/2 inch. not a big deal, printed off a return label from Crutchfield, and sent them back.

I love my new speakers and I love how Crutchfield knew exactly what size I needed for my car because I didn't know. At first I was a little worried that the information wouldnt be correct, but then I recieved my speakers from UPS and installed them. They were a perfect fit! Thanks Crutchfield!!!

These are very good speakers. They sound very crisp and clear. But, these speakers are too small to reproduce bass very clearly. If i could redo my order, i would go up to the 6 1/2s instead. I bought those for my rear speakers, and am very pleased with them. If you can put these in your vehicle, you should aslo be able to use a 6 1/2 in the same spot, and if you do, you will be very pleased.

My stock speakers in my '99 Jeep Cherokee were working fine when I parked my Jeep 5 years ago, as were the two 12" subs.. When I pulled it out of storage last year, the stereo still worked fine but, one by one, the speakers started to fail. I was down to the right front stock speaker and two 12" subs.......My system sounded horrible!!!!! I decided to upgrade through Crutchfield. I went on the website and searched for speakers for my vehicle. It was straight to the point and gave me the speakers that fit my Jeep. I chose the Sony Xplod speakers, front and rear, as economical replacements. The installation was very easy thanks to the wiring harnesses supplied by Crutchfield. The resulting sound is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! Before, I could hear more bass than anything because of the amp and two 12" subs in the back, but now I can hear all the mids and highs over the heart skipping bass that I already had. These are great stock speaker replacements for the price!!!!!!!! THANKS CRUTCHFIELD!!!!!!!

I bought these to replace a pair of Eclipse SE-5000's I had in the dash. The
right one blew and I needed a replacement, but the Eclipses were out of
warranty. I chatted with an advisor (Keith) and he quickly directed me to these.
They came fast and they were a breeze to install since I had already done all
the custom wiring because I already have a complete system. I just had to
unplug the Eclipses and plug these in in their place.

IMMEDIATELY after putting them in and twisting that volume knob, I noticed a
noticeable difference in sound quality. A good difference. The highs are
extremely clear and crisp, the mids are nice and punchy, and the bass is
decent for this speaker size. I have 2 12" Sony Xplod subwoofers for bass, but I
faded the sound to the front for a minute to hear what just these were doing. Not
bad, Sony!

I picked up the Eclipses for $10 more than these on Crutchfield a couple years
ago. It's absolutely amazing how fast speaker quality is progressing these
days. These are much better.

Very happy and very impressed.

I'm not an expert about car stereos in any way... I have no idea about
harnesses/wiring, tearing off panels in my Civic- but I did it! The speakers aren't top
quality but a great replacement for the stock speakers. Now that I've put the back
speakers in, I need to replace the front ones. Overall with the help of the installation
guide (Master sheet) from Crutchfield, I was able to do this all on my own. It took a
little longer than expected (about 2 hours). Without the Masters sheet, I would have
been lost.

I added 2pair of Sony Xplod 2 way speakers to replace my factory speakers. My
stock speakers were the oval 6X8 but I wanted round speakers; so I replaced them
with the 5.25" speakers. Crutchfield provided every adapter necessary to install
the Sony speakers FREE of Charge! Along with exact vehicle instructions and not
just for installing speakers; it was a full on audio installation guide. which
included everything you need to know to remove stock audio and install after
market audio. I was very impressed! The sound is amazing! I can finally crank up
the volume without any distortion. I don't need to waist anymore time and
money going to those stereo shops! Thanks Crutchfield!!!

the stock speakers in the yaris sounded better. No bass at all with the sony's. Decent highs.
Maybe if a good amp and not the stock stereo was driving them. They really did sound worse than stock but one was blown.
