Soundstream's VR-931NB DVD receiver isn't cut from the same cloth as most in-dash multimedia units. Most are built to be installed in a double-DIN (4" tall) dash opening, so the screen size is by necessity limited to about 7" max. Soundstream's built the chassis of the VR-931NB so it fits into a single-DIN (2" tall) opening, and they've placed a detachable 9.3" screen onto the front. Car A/V writer Robert takes a closer look at it.
