Driver Technology

OmniPolar Design: Using the Omniguide, the NanoCenter radiates sound in a 360° pattern. This pattern creates a deeper, more spacious soundstage and a bigger sweet spot in your listening area than a typical direct radiating speaker. When listening to acoustic instruments live, we hear more sound reflected than directly. The Omniguide closely approximates this reflected to direct ratio, giving the NanoCenter a large, realistic soundstage.

Drivers: The center speaker house a 3" polypropylene cone midrange with butyl rubber surround and a 2/3" pure titanium hybrid (PTH) dome tweeter mounted on the Omniguide.

Speaker Matching: If you wish to use the NanoCenter speaker for a surround system, you can purchase additional voice-matching satellites (653NANOPB) to fill out your speaker requirements.

Enclosure Design

Enclosure: The center speaker has an acoustic suspension, extruded aluminum enclosure in a beautiful high gloss black finish.

Connections

Speaker Terminals: The center speaker features high-quality spring post speaker terminals for a secure and convenient connection. You will need to remove a plug that's inserted in the center of the binding post if you wish to use single banana plugs, the terminals are too far apart for dual banana plugs. Spade connectors, pin connectors, or bare wire up to 10 gauge can also be used.

Mounting Options

Mounting: The center speaker comes with a metal horizontal mounting bracket so you can mount your center channel to the wall. The bracket is mounted with two screws to the wall and can position the speaker right side up or upside down. The center speaker slips into place overtop the bracket once the bracket is mounted to the wall. The bracket mounts the speaker flush to the wall or two 1/4" spacers are provided to space the speaker approximately a 1/4" from the wall. If you mount the speaker more than six feet off the floor, Mirage recommends turning the speaker upside down. If you place the speaker on a table or shelf, put it as close to the front edge as possible.

Video Shielded: The center speaker is magnetically shielded for safe placement near your TV or computer monitor without causing picture interference.
