Dynamic Balance:
Dynamic Balance is a proprietary Polk Audio technology using laser imaging to
determine what combination of speaker materials create the least amount of
resonance. Eliminating resonance in speakers results in a wide, smooth response
and low distortion.
Marine Certified Woofers: Polk/MOMO Series speakers are built to withstand exposure to moisture and UV rays, so they
work well in boats and cars.
Lacquered Carbon-fiber Woofers:
The lacquered carbon-fiber cones provide the ideal balance of stiffness and low
mass for the clearest, most detailed midrange performance, and lowest
distortion, of any speaker in its class.
Rubber Surrounds: The airtight
rubber surrounds stand up to moisture, sunlight and extreme temperatures while
allowing long excursion linear motion and years of reliable use.
Cast Aluminum Baskets: Each
speaker has a channel-vented, acoustically inert cast aluminum basket for
superior stiffness and better heat dissipation.
1" Kapton Voice Coils and Formers:
Laser-based, Klippel-optimized, channel-vented 2-Layer 1" Kapton voice coils and
formers offer high heat dissipation and extreme power handling.
NOMEX Spiders: The strong,
fire-retardant flat NOMEX spiders allow extended linear motion while providing
highly reliable mechanical and thermal stability.
ABS Magnet Boots: Each woofer
features a waterproof, anti-resonant ABS magnet boot, which is removable for
installation flexibility. With the magnet boots installed, each speaker has the
following dimensions:

- Depth as top: 2.672"
ABS Spacer Rings: In many Honda
Accords and Civics, the supplied ABS spacer rings can be used to replace the
factory mounting cups. Also, the rings can be used to fit the woofers in a
variety of import and domestic vehicles that accept 6-1/2" speakers, but have
shallow mounting locations; the rings do not have a standard bolt pattern, so
you may have to drill new mounting holes to use them in your vehicle. When used
with the spacer rings, the woofers have the following dimensions:

Tweeters
Silk/Polymer Composite
Tweeters: The 1" liquid-cooled,
silk/polymer composite tweeters provide clear, detailed highs.
Marine Certified Tweeters: Polk/MOMO Series speakers are built to withstand exposure to moisture and UV rays, so they
work well in boats and cars.
Mounting:
The supplied mounting cups allow you to surface- or flush-mount the tweeters.
In both
mounting configurations, the tweeters can be pivoted to "aim" their output for
the best high frequency response and soundstaging.

Crossovers
2-way
Crossovers: The
included crossovers include a 12 dB/octave, 2600 Hz high-pass filter for the
tweeters and a 12 dB/octave, 2600 Hz low-pass filter for the woofers.
Bi-amp Inputs: The crossovers
allow each woofer and tweeter to be powered by separate channels of
amplification. A switch on each crossover lets you choose Single input or Dual
input mode. In Single input mode, one channel of amplification is used to power
the woofer and tweeter together. In Dual input mode, separate channels of
amplification are used to power the woofer and tweeter.
Selectable Tweeter Output Level:
Each crossover has a 3-position switch that allows you to select the tweeter
output level according to system requirements and personal preference. The
switches may be set to "-6 dB", "-3 dB" or "0 dB".
Crossover Mounting:
There are 2 mounting holes in the base of each crossover; screws to mount the
crossovers are not supplied. The crossovers are not weather proof, so they
should not be mounted in locations, such as door panels, that will expose them
to direct contact with water.
Crossover Terminals:
The crossover terminals are
nickel-plated.
