Bought as stock replacement speakers (06 civic lx fronts only, put mtx tn653's in the rear). Sound good and not too bad on the wallet considering the freebies Crutchfield throws in (harness/bracket). Replacing blown stock speakers running from stock head unit. I can tell these will probably really kick with an aftermarket head or amp'd. High frequencies sound great regardless, mids are good but can be little muddy at high volume due to in large part to the stock head unit (no mid adjustment on mine) and road noise.

Pros:

Good speaker, does what I wanted it to do.

Cons:

Probably need an amp or aftermarket head to really make them shine.

Put these in with a pair of 6x9 a kickers on the rear shelf. Outstanding sound even from OEM head unit. Easy install with gear from Crutchfield. Maybe one hour total for the pair to install.

Stock speakers better

Horrible speakers. Crutchfield rep didn't know what he was saying when he suggested these Kicker speakers. Stock speakers were way better. My own fault for taking his advice, I thought he might know what he's selling.

The factory speaker in left door blew out so I replaced both. Wiring harness easy to understand and helpful service from staff.

Replacement speakers for the stock ones in my 2003 Toyota Tundra. Bolted right in, easy install. Great instructions came with the kit as to how to remove the door panels. Saved a lot of time and guesswork. The speakers are great. Very high quality and the sound is so much better than stock, I was amazed, especialy the bass.

Great upgrade from factory speakers, and cannot complain on the price. I also put the Kicker CS 6.5" components up front. While these do seem voice matched like I wanted, the components definitely sound better - as they should for twice the price! Seem a little more well rounded than Polk's, which I have used many times before and tend to lack bass. Still, one should always add a subwoofer (the Kenwood KSC-11 will fit under most car seats!).

Pros:

price, clarity

Cons:

the Kicker CS component model for 2X the price sounds even better, wasn't in stock when I ordered it, but waited - no way I'm going to put the in-stock 5 1/4" model in when I have 6.5" components up front and the rear hole takes 6.5"
