If you want reliable over-the-air TV reception, but can't install a large rooftop antenna, check out Terk's FDTVO. This compact antenna pulls in standard and high-definition digital broadcasts, and includes an amplifier to improve the reception of weaker signals.     Overview: The Terk FDTVO Omni-Directional Amplified Flat Digital Outdoor Antenna is engineered to receive 1080 HDTV off-air broadcasts for outstanding high-definition and clear digital TV reception.

    Omni-Directional: The FDTVO's patented multi-directional reception technology provides outstanding reception from any direction (360-degree reception pattern), producing clear, clean signals from a compact, unobtrusive design that blends well with any home decor.

    Low Noise Amplifier: The FDTVO's extremely low noise (ELN) amplifier provides high-gain pickup of further stations and improves picture quality without saturating the signal.

    Connection: The FDTVO Digital Flat Outdoor Amplified Antenna plugs into your television using the supplied external amplifier. The included external amplifier plugs into your television's RF coaxial input and then connects to the antenna using RG-6 coaxial cable (sold separately). The external amplifier also includes an AC power adapter which will need to be plugged into an AC wall-outlet.

    Indoor/Outdoor Mounting: The FDTVO's weatherproof, hermetically sealed housing offers ultra-reliable performance. The FDTVO comes will all necessary mounting hardware for flexible placement indoors or outdoors.

    Note: The FDTVO usually performs best when mounted horizontally. It should be mounted on the side of your house that faces most of your local broadcast towers.

    Mounting Bracket: The FDTVO's mounting bracket gives you the flexibility in mounting the antenna. The FDTVO can be mounted to a surface, such as a rooftop, eves, siding, or rafters in an attic. It can also be mounted to a standard mast (sold separately).

    So, far I really like this antenna. Small and light, it pulls in great signal. Very simple to set up and use.
    Pros:
    Excellent value. Easy to set up. Pulled in great HD signal from over 20 miles away
    Cons:
    Plastic mount seems a little flimsy. Not sure how it will do on a very windy day.

    i bought this antenna on the reviews , everyone said it was a verygood antenna , well they were wrong . my indoor antenna works better than this piece of junk. it didnt work at all . i get more stations with my in door antenna than this anttena ever will im sending it back . i give it no stars...

    First off I want to give an A+ five stars to Crutchfield customer service. They tried to help me troubleshoot the antenna. When nothing helped they offered to replace the antenna or give me a refund. Excellent company! The product itself did not work for me even after trying several trouble shooting adjustments. I believe that my house is too close (7mi) from the TV transmitters and even when I did not use the preamp the channels still did not come in. I bought a 30$ indoor antenna with rabbit ears that had a gain adjustment. Now I get every available station in my area. I write all of this just to say don't hesitate to buy from Crutchfield as you will have a good buying experience with lots of tech support. Just know that if you live close to the TV transmitters too much antenna might actually prevent you from receiving the stations.

    I am new to this type on Antenna. Just recently moved into my current apartment. Mounted the unit outside. I am getting more channels now than with my old Internal Amplified unit. Note this antenna does not work with FM radios. using the old one for that.

    I bought this antenna in order to get our local CBS channel for the Super Bowl. I had previously purchased a non-amplified antenna and was unable to get the signal. With this one, I had no trouble. The channel came in very clearly. This antenna is also more asthetically pleasing than the others I was considering. I was able to mount this antenna on the roof and it looks like it was meant to be there. Anyone looking for a cheaper solution for recieving HDTV signals will not be disappointed with this product.
