Great sounding speakers but didn't quite fit in the dash of my '98 Dodge Caravan. I had to secure them using an alternative method. Besides that, the supplied wire adapters made installation fairly easy. My order arrived quickly and well packaged. This was my first order with Crutchfield and I will buy all my car audio from them in the future.

Pros:

Value, solid construction. Helpful instructions from Crutchfield.

Cons:

1/8" too small to fit in my '98 Dodge Caravan without alterations.

The Sound Ordnance speakers are a worthy upgrade. I installed them in my Mini Cooper and the difference is profound. I couldn't be happier. The speakers come with nice metal grills, though I did not use them in my application. The build quality is good and the fit was perfect. Templates, wiring, and screws are included. Solid bass and clean mids/highs provide a natural and balanced sound. Thank you to the others reviewers who steered my decision toward these speakers. I love 'em.

Pros:

Great sound at a very reasonable price.

Cons:

So far, nothing negative to say about them.

Great product. These sound just as good if not better than my factory Harman kardon speakers in my Mini Cooper s, and are a fraction of the cost. The design of the speaker itself is amazing, unlike any other speaker out there for sure. They handle a large amount of volume without breaking up or distorting. The packaging is really cool as well, a fighter plane on the box and comes with a sound ordinance dog tag. Highly recommend ordering from Crutchfield because of the free installation instructions as well as the free mounting kit.

Have yet to find anything I dislike

These speakers installed with ease in my 98 Cherokee. The sound quality is great with no distortion. Excellent base and mids. You couldn't ask for more out of a speaker without an amp supporting them.

These compact 2 ways are amazing. great sound response ahrd to believe a small speaker has such punch. Polymer cones, nice rubber surronds, and out of this world styling.

Much better than stock; however, sound quality isnt quite up to my expectations. I think I would have spend a few more bucks for a better speaker if I had to do it again. That being ssaid, these speakers are an excellent value.

some of the reviews here were accurate, as expected the mids are lacking. compared to factory speakers they are much clearer and the bass is also cleaner. if you're not an audiophile but just want to upgrade from your typical factory sound system with 4 to 6 speakers, you can't go wrong with these 2 way speakers and adding a separate sub. i still use the stock headunit and these 2 ways make a significant difference (as would probably any coaxials over the factory speakers) but still good for the price.

Pros:

clearer highs and cleaner bass

Cons:

not much change in the mids compared to stock. also the adapters that came with these are not a perfect fit as one might expect. they will work with some adjusting and cutting.

Must admit this didn't sound anything like my expectations. While replacing the front door speakers on a Mazda I compared left and right (factory original and the P-52). The original speaker still seemed to be in good condition. It had excellent bass response, a muddy and indistinct midrange, and poor highs. In comparison, the P-52 had no bass worth mentioning and very good performance from midrange on up, though maybe a bit piercing in the high end. The loss of the low end surprised me, but I gave it a fair audition and decided it was going to work out. Indeed, it has turned out beautifully. Using one of the EQ presets on my JVC radio, the 6x9 rear speakers take care of the bass, and the P-52s are pushed from very good into excellence. The difference between the stock front speakers and the P-52s is the difference between merely knowing that you're listening to an orchestra, and actually hearing all the instruments. What I thought would be piercing highs actually works to my advantage in compensating for the low position of the speakers on the car doors. The P-52s give vocals clarity at the front of the car and do wonders for voice recordings and podcasts. I've thrown at them 50 songs in various genres and been pleased with the results. In daily use, they still satisfy.

Pros:

Big improvement over stock speakers at a good price

Cons:

Lack of bass response; sounds like an even smaller speaker

Easy install and sound great. No problems. Didn't like the screws and metal clips for install, couldn't get them tight on the plastic adapter bracket. Instead I used 8-32 pan heads and lock nuts.
