Overview: The JVC KV-K1018 "Do it Yourself" Installation Kit provides all the wiring and mounting accessories for vehicle installation of the KT-HDP1 Transportable HD Radio Tuner. The vehicle installation kit includes a suction cup mount, an input sleeve-type antenna, an output sleeve-type antenna and audio cable to install the JVC HD Radio Tuner in your vehicle. The KV-K1018 does not require removal of your OEM or aftermarket stereo if your headunit's auxiliary input is located on the front of the radio or you are using the HD Radio Tuner's built-in FM transmitter.

Sleeve-Type Antennas: The Vehicle Installation Kit features two sleeve-type antennas.

• Input Antenna: This antenna is used to receive HD AM/FM stations through the KT-HDP1 HD Radio tuner. The input sleeve-type antenna measures 13" long x 1.175" wide x 0.465" deep and features a self-adhesive backing. The antenna is designed to be mounted along the vertical or horizontal interior edge of your windshield. The antenna features a 16.75' cable which is terminated by a right-angle male 3.5mm connector which plugs into the antenna input connection on the KT-HDP1 HD Radio tuner.
• Output Antenna: This antenna is used to transmit audio from the KT-HDP1 HD Radio tuner to your headunit when using the unit's built-in FM transmitter. The output sleeve-type antenna measures 12" long x 1.1875" wide x 0.259" deep and features a self-adhesive backing. The antenna is designed to be mounted to the vertical or horizontal interior edge of your windshield which is closest to your vehicle's factory AM/FM antenna for better reception and audio quality. The antenna features a 16.75' cable which is terminated by right-angle male 2.5mm minijack connector which plugs into the KT-HDP1's antenna output port.

Audio Cable: The JVC Vehicle Installation Kit comes with a 59" audio cable so you can  connect the KT-HDP1 HD Radio tuner to your headunit's auxiliary input instead of using the tuner's built-in FM transmitter. In this case you will not need to connect the supplied output antenna.

Suction Cup Mount: The KV-K1018 Vehicle Installation Kit features a suction cup mounting arm designed to mount to your windshield or dash. The mounting arm features two vertical-angle adjustment hinges as well as a horizontal- swivel head to attach the JVC HD Radio Tuner.
