How does it work?
Simple. First, enter your zip code to see if there's an InstallCard installer in your area. If you don't see an installer listed, call InstallerNet at the number listed below the zip code field to see if an installer has been added in your area. Then, just add this card to your online shopping cart, and proceed through checkout as usual. When you receive the card from us, visit www.installcard.com, enter the unique InstallCard number on the back of the card, and schedule your installation with the local shop.

Installation
When you arrive for your appointment at your local stereo shop, just hand over the InstallCard, along with the interface you've purchased and your Crutchfield invoice (it will be included in the box with your order), and your installation begins. Features

Overview:With this InstallCard (42-1022) a professional installer will install an iPod/MP3 Control Interface to your factory or aftermarket car stereo system. Installation includes mounting the Control Interface or FM Modulator, connecting it to the vehicle's power (for iPod/MP3 player charging), configuring the factory or aftermarket radio adapter cable, and wiring the dock connector to the iPod/MP3 player. Visit www.InstallCard.com for more information.

Disclaimers: This InstallCard (42-1022) does not include the following installation costs:

  • Antenna cable connectors are additional items and maybe purchased from the installer, if not purchased at time of equipment sale.

  • European cars, such as BMW, Mercedes, Audi etc. and some exotic vehicles may need additional labor due to the complexity of their wiring.
  • Defective Equipment: If the equipment installed is found to be defective, or becomes defective after installation, the following apply:

    • If the equipment is determined to be defective during the process of installation, or immediately after (before the customer leaves the facility), the installer will remove and reinstall the replacement equipment at no charge. If the customer leaves the installer's facility, and discovers the equipment is defective, the customer will be responsible for 50% of the charge to have it removed and a replacement item reinstalled.
    • If the equipment is determined to be defective within a period of no longer that one year, and within the manufacturer's warranty, Installer Net will cover 50% of the charge to remove and reinstall replacement equipment. If the customer chooses to remove non-defective equipment (exchanging for a different brand, for example), Installer Net will charge for a completely new installation.

Professional installation in my 2004 Silverad. The dash was opened up in just a few minutes. Installer discussed with me options for placing ipod cable. In my case, a cubby just below radio worked out great. After work was completed, installer demoed product and answered my questions. Couldn't be happier.

Product purchase was reviewed with online technical support. Product was ordered online and received the following day. Installation was scheduled two days later - over the holidays - taking only the time estimated.

    Not perfect, but liveable

I knew I didn't want to do the install in my Toyota Tacoma, so this was a good alternative. There were 2 knocks to this service. One, when I made the appointment, they said it would be one hour, and it ended up taking almost 3 hours. I did complicate matters by having them install a Sirius radio at the same time, but you would think they would know. Second, the Ipod hookup works great, but when I listen to the Sirius radio, I get a strong mid-tone hum. I took it back the next day, and the installers didn't know how to fix it, except by unplugging the Ipod. Not a perfect solution, but one I can live with.

    Anonymous Installer

I recently had the USA SPEC installed in my Volvo using an installer from Installcard. When I picked up the car the check airbag light was on due to something the installer had done. The first thing out of his mouth was that it was like that when he got in the car. Install card claims their installers are experienced but I had to reconfigure the box placement and the playmodes as well as schedule an appointment with the dealer to fix the airbag.

Watch out for this network, you don't know who is going to install your device until you've paid for the card.
