Sound great just with deck power can't wait to hook up my amp & see how they are

After emailing asking for a recommentation for replacement speakers for my 02 Silverado, I received a quick reply stating the Focal 165CA1 would be a good choice. I ordered them on a Fri night and received them the following Wed, (very quick). The installation (which I did myself) was VERY easy and fast. Total time for both doors start to finish was a little over an hour, (took my time). GREAT service, GREAT product, GREAT price!

These speakers are probably the best I've heard in this price range. They perform admirably throughout the whole frequency spectrum. The highs are crystal clear, but not fatiguing, with beautifully focused mids. The bass is absolutely solid and rounds out these speakers quite nicely. If you're having trouble finding a quality pair of coaxial speakers in this price range, I highly urge you to give these a listen. You won't be dissapointed!

Great product, Well constructed.

I just had these components and coaxials installed in my vechicle paired up with a JL G4500 that I picked up in the outlet store here on crutchfield.com.

My first impression is WOW these things can sing! I've had Alpine type R Components as well as JL Audio TR components in my previous vechicles and these are really just on a different level.Very "musical"! I would recommend FOCAL to anyone over those brands anyday of the week and I'm a huge JL audio fan, but the FOCAL components are just flat out better. These are entry level speakers but you would never know it if someone didn't tell you.

My only question to you is What are you waiting for?

I installed these Focal speakers two days ago in my Saturn Aura with the premium sound/amp in the front doors. In all honestly, I wouldn't really say the Focals sound exceptionally better than my factory speakers. However, my factory speakers were components and these are coaxial. I gained mostly a much better sounding tweeter, but the mids are nearly the same as the factory speakers, and the Focals have less bass than my factory components. My suggestion if you are considering these speakers, are to go with their component set instead. When I switched to these Focals over my factory speakers, the sound stage moved down toward the floor considerably. I'm somewhat worried about build quality as well since when I opened the box one of the tweeters was hanging from the speaker. I was able to get it back into the housing, but we'll see how well they are at longevity. The tweeter was still working normally after installation so I wasn't too worried about it. Also, I'm not sure why these are listed as 6 3/4" speakers. They were too small to line up with the holes in my factory brackets, I had to do some custom fabrication to mount them. They were rated as a direct fit, but you could only get one hole to line up at a time. I know with most speakers they require some break-in time so we'll see how they sound a few weeks down the road.

off the top of my head focal is a name that i have only known for 2 years. I first heard of them when auditioning home theater speakers that used their drivers. At $25,000 a speaker and where 3 foot cables cost $5,000, i came to give focal some trust in there name. that said, i got these speakers for a bargin and they are very impressive for my first focal product. razor sharp highs similar to the speakers i have at home. For those who find tweeters very important, i stress that you listen to these speakers before you buy. Some people would call these metal dome tweeters way too harsh on the ears. i personally like it that way. just be warned, these speakers don't produce warm laid back sound, its bias is for cold-crisp highs. if you're one of those people who crank up the tweeter eq, then this could be for you.

I listen to all types of music and needed a full range speaker able to hit every note loud and clear. These speakers do just that. I have these speakers amped with about 50rms watts each. The midbass is Strong & Solid like a baby subwoofer. The highs are VERY crips but can be a little to sharp at times.These speakers are very senstive and will produce all the notes there are. The low end bass is a little lacking so if you like thundering base I would suggest buying a sub. In conclusion, coming from a guy who has owned a $800+ Componet system. These are the best speakers I have owned. I am now upgrading to there polyglass componets for even better sound imagining & Detail. If your considering any other speaker in this price range dont waste your time. Just buy these!

I replaced the stock Infinity front door speakers in my Grand Cherokee with the Focals. From all appearances, they are true 6 3/4" speakers with no surface area wasted. I had to fabricate two thick rubber gaskets and drill four new holes per door to get a nice fit. I didn't use any adapters. The Focals are a bit deeper than the stockers and they need about 1/4" of extra spacing. The advisor at Crutchfied warned me about this before the purchase.

Well made speakers. I'm now hearing subtle notes that I never did before. Crisp, clean and full sound. No subwoofer necessary for my application. They will faithfully and accurately reproduce whatever you feed them. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. The stock amplifier is pretty weak and I think upping the wattage would make these beauties shine even brighter.

These speakers are fantastic. Mid's and High's are very very clear. Better than any other speakers I listened to. Very efficient but sound much better running off an amp than off the HU. I have these paired with the Focal 165 A1's in the front in my 4Runner and let me tell you it was one of the best purchases I've ever made.

I replaced the factory "Premium" Pioneer front door speakers with the Focal Access 165CA1. The result was a very distinct difference.
The Focals are very clear and balanced. I was able turn the bass back to neutral. I am now tempted to replace the rear door speakers and the sub woofer with Focal products.
