Doesn't fit 2010 Honda Element LX ...

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It simply doesn't fit the 2010 Honda Element LX even though it says it will. It's as if Crutchfield just assumed it would fit without ever checking. The face of the kit is angled where the opening of the LX is straight. A Crutchfield rep did apologize and sent me the HON-K828, which fits. However, that is the cheapest, worst quality kit I've ever seen -- and I've installed quite a few stereos. Since the quality felt flimsy, and the instructions required breaking off about 10 tabs, I knew not to screw it in too tight. But as soon as I screwed it in, all four mounting brackets broke. Rep said he hasn't heard of this problem before -- I'm certain, like the last reviewer, since it's free they just never bothered to complain. I, however, did pay for mine, and they're sending me a replacement. I'll give it one more chance before going with a Scosche. My first bad experience with Crutchfield and a SERIOUS waste of time.
