Features
Low-pass Filter: The Lightning Audio Bolt B2.250.1 mono-block amplifier features a low-pass filter, continuously-variable from 40-250Hz. The low-pass filter is always active; you cannot turn it off. No slope information on the crossover was given.
Juice Boost: The amp is equipped with a 0 to +12dB Juice Boost (bass boost) control, with a center frequency of 50Hz.
Optional Cooling Fan: The optional CT-1 "Cooling Turbine" may be added to this amplifier. The fan is made to replace the "Bolt" grille on the amplifier's top panel. If you plan on running your system at its limits and/or the amplifier will be mounted where there is little air circulation, the additional cooling provided by the CT-1 will help keep distortion levels low and extend the life of the amplifier. The CT-1 is available from the manufacturer.
Power/Speaker Terminals: The power, ground, turn-on, and speaker output connections on this amplifier are all gold-plated screw terminals. The power and ground screw terminals are 0.489" wide and can accept up to 4-gauge bare wire or with spade or ring terminals. The turn-on lead and speaker output terminals are 0.358" wide and can accept up to 8-gauge bare wire or with spade or ring terminals. A Phillips- or flat-head screwdriver is required to tighten/loosen the terminals.
Speaker-Level Input: The amplifier comes with a speaker-level input harness, which allows you to connect the amp to a factory radio or to an aftermarket receiver with no preamp outputs. You will need to splice two of the radio/receiver's speaker wires to the harness before plugging it into the amp's "Hi Input".
