One thing our customers have told us over the years: wiring behind-door components for remote control is a chore. So when we had this cabinet made to our own specifications, we insisted it have a built-in infrared system. The Piedmont features pre-mounted infrared blasters, connected to a central infrared sensor.. Even with the doors closed, you can control all your gear with whatever remotes you usually use.
American-made quality
We also insisted on quality construction and materials — and we got it. The Piedmont is built in United States by Amish craftsmen. Solid wood — not composite — is used throughout the piece. Dovetail joints in the drawers (rather than staples and glue) ensure years of use. And the cabinet is finished both inside and out — even the back panels have the Piedmont's rich, coffee finish.
Made for electronics
Adjustable shelves give you flexible storage. The doors come with interchangeable solid wood and speaker cloth panels. Openings in the back panels and slots in the shelves allow air to circulate, keeping your components cool even with the doors closed. You can easily remove the back panels, to connect your system's components. There's an open compartment for your center channel speaker, and two deep drawers to hold your headphones, remote, and other accessories.
