A-Series Center-Channel: The Boston Acoustics A-Series
center-channel loudspeaker (A 225C) incorporates high-quality components that
produce the legendary Boston Sound. The A-Series center-channel loudspeaker is
ideally suited for use in a high-quality 5.1ch, 6.1ch, or 7.1ch channel home
theater system.
2-Way Speaker System: The Boston Acoustics A-Series
center-channel loudspeaker features a two-way design that employs two 5.25"
woofers paired with a single 1.0" soft-dome tweeter.
1" Kortec Soft-Dome Tweeter: The Boston Acoustic A 225C features
Boston's 1" Kortec soft-dome tweeter for crystalline high frequencies.
Dual 5.25" DCD Woofers: The Boston Acoustics A 225C center-channel
loudspeaker is fitted with two 5.25" ceramic/glass fiber polymer woofers with
Deep Channel Design (DCD) that allow for higher speed, reduced distortion, and
improved sensitivity. As a result the A 225C delivers more bass response from
less amplifier power.
Crossover Network: The crossover components in the A 225C
incorporate low-loss film capacitors and low-distortion laminated silicon steel
cores for the inductors in all critical areas. The tweeter and woofers are
crossed over at 2,600 Hz.
Enclosure Design
Bass Reflex Enclosure: The Boston Acoustics A-Series
center-channel loudspeaker (A 225C) features a bass reflex enclosure with a
rear-firing acoustically tuned port for improved low frequency response and
efficiency.
Scratch Resistant, Resonance Free Cabinet: The Boston
Acoustics A 225C center-channel loudspeaker features a high-gloss,
scratch-resistant cabinet with a textured top and magnetic grille for a modern
styling that will match most any decor. Vertical and horizontal internal
bracings reduce cabinet resonances for enhanced audio quality.
Connections
Binding Posts: Gold-plated binding posts provide hook-up flexibility
and the purest signal transfer. The binding posts will accept bare wire (up to
12-gauge), pin connectors, spade connectors, and banana plugs (single only).
Note: The binding posts are spaced to far apart to
accommodate dual banana plugs.
Color-Coded: The speaker's binding posts are color-coded
(red/black) for easy identification between positive and negative.
Mounting Options
Rubber Feet: The Boston Acoustics A-Series center-channel loudspeaker
(A 225C) includes four self-adhesive rubber feet for safe and secure placement
on a table-top, shelf, or, stand, other AV furniture. The rubber feet add 0.125"
of height to the center-channel speaker.
Wall Mounting: The optional PinPoint center-channel
wall-mounting bracket (121AM15B,
sold separately) can be used to wall mount the speaker.
Note: The center-channel speaker does not include any
type of wall-mount bracket or keyhole slots.
