Features
Overview: The Roth Music Cocoon MC4 is a tube-style integrated
amplifier that has been designed for use with the Apple iPod/iPhone via its
built-in iPod/iPhone dock, any portable audio device via a minijack input, or a
CD player via its stereo RCA input.
Tube-Style Integrated Amplifier: The Roth Music Cocoon MC4 is equipped
with a quadruple pre-amp tube section (two 12AU7s/two 12AX7s) and a 13 watt x 2-channel
MOSFET amplifier
at 20Hz to 30kHz, into 8 ohms, with 0.5% THD, and a 90dB S/N ratio. The amplifier
provides hi-fidelity pure tube sound, while adding real warmth and dimension to
your music.
iPod/iPhone Dock: The Music Cocoon MC4 features an integrated
iPod/iPhone dock for audio playback, control, and charging of your iPod. You can
control your iPod from this unit's remote control or from your iPod's
click-wheel/touch-screen. The Music Cocoon MC4 is "Made for iPod/iPhone
compatible" and supports the following iPod/iPhone model functions (2/1/2012).

This dock will not charge the iPod/iPhone when in standby mode. The dock
must be powered on to charge your iPod/iPhone.
S-Video Output: The Roth MC4 features a rear-panel S-video output
which allows you to output video from your docked compatible iPod or iPhone,
that features video output, to your television.
Minijack Input: The Music Cocoon features a rear-panel 3.5mm
stereo-minijack input for connecting an external audio source such as an MP3
player or PC.
RCA Input: The Roth Music Cocoon features a rear-panel stereo RCA
input for connecting an external audio source such as a CD player or cassette
deck.
Speaker Outputs: The Music Cocoon MC4 is equipped with left and right
speaker outputs for connecting a pair of speakers (8-ohms or greater). The MC4
uses binding-posts for easy connection to your speakers.
Remote Control: The Roth MC4 comes supplied with an IR wireless remote
control for operation of the integrated amplifier as well as your docked iPod or
iPhone.
Protection Circuits: The Roth Music Cocoon offers various protection
circuits to protect this unit and your connected speakers.
