Great sound reproduction at a great price...

For the money spent, these are good speakers. I have 2 sets in my car, and they are the only speakers. Don't expect big bass, but they really have perked up my commute with much clearer sound than factory ones.

I put these kickers ds65's in my 07 Silverado new body style. I couldnt be more pleased with the outcome. I wanted good bass but got excellent bass instead. THANK YOU CRUTCHFIELD!

Cannot reuse existing speaker brackets but these fit perfectly in vacated spot of old speakers. Drill four new holes and they drop right in. Suggest waterproofing new speakers on back side as the cars doors seem to leak water right on speaker area . They sound a lot better than the factory originals. Have never had any problems with crutch field products or delivery.

Bought these speakers to replace the factory Infinity System in my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Only replaced the front speakers, but will probably buy another pair to replace the back one's as well. These speakers have great sound, and were real easy to install. I did have to drill some new holes in the door, but that was minor and not a problem at all. They have been installed for several months now and the sound is still clear and amazing as if I had just put them in.

I installed these speakers as a christmas gift, in both the doors and rear deck of my daughter's Saturn coupe. I paired them to a Pioneer head unit only producing 14 watts RMS per channel. The sound quality at all listening levels is OUTSTANDING! No sub and no ext. amp and this system will shake your gut and vibrate the mirrors! The sound is crisp and clear with tight solid bass. Couldn't be more impressed for a mere $200 total! Crutchfield demonstrated once again why they are the only place to buy car audio. The supplied wiring adapters for both speakers and player were exactly right for the vehicle. They even supplied a new center console adapter that made everything look perfect, at no extra cost! Saved hundreds over system install by local supplier.

I bought these speakers to replace the factory speakers in all four doors of my 2009 GMC Sierra. I had alot of skepticism about how these speakers would sound after reading so many reviews that gave negative impressions about the bass capabilities. I'm glad to say that my fears have been put to rest. These speakers sound great! Especially with the highs and midrange frequencies. I'm hearing details never heard before in songs that I've listened to for years. And as for the bass notes, well they surpassed the performance of the stock speakers that I thought were very exceptional for a base audio system. I'm still pushin these speakers with the factory head unit and they sound great. I listen to a wide variety of music such as country,rap,top 40 and hard rock and with a tweak of the EQ it all sounds great. My only reason for not giving this review a full 5 star rating was the miserable fasteners that come with these speakers. That was one item that was given a poor review by alot of customers and I now know why. In order to make a good seal on my speakers (speakers to door panel and speaker bracket to door frame), I bought some extra installation supplies, which were a roll of caulking cord and a 10' roll of sponge rubber weatherstrip. I used the caulking cord underneath my speaker brackets to get a better seal to the door frame and I covered the speakers circumference with the sponge rubber weatherstrip to ensure a tight seal to the door panel. This purchase was a success!!!

I bought these speakers just to upgrade from the stock speakers and they sounded great...for the first month or so. Over the next few months I noticed they didn't sound as clear. After about three months they rattled and sounded terrible. The cone had completely separated. Overall not impressed.

If you are looking to sell your car or enjoy listening to talk radio these speakers are great.

The factories in my Honda Ridgeline actually sounded decent, so I held off on replacement. I finally decided to buy these Kickers for the front and rear doors. AWESOME!!! I shouldn't have waited sooo long. Total full range sound imersion. They have plenty of low range punch for 6.75's, but I have a well powered aftermarket head unit...guessing some folks who say they lack bass may be using a low wattage factory head unit, since they do need just a little more juice to move them. I am COMPLETELY satisfied and totally recommend them.

These are good replacement speakers. They were easy to install with little modifications. I read the reviews before hand and didnt try to use the supplied hardware. Bass is not great, but good enough for the factory head unit.

Great Sound

Great sound for the cost, mids and highs are excellent. Bass is ok.

Got theses speakers for my daughters 05 Chevy Aveo. The instruction sheet provided made quick work of the installation and the speaker sound really good. What kept me from rating 5 stars is the unbelievably cheap mounting hardware that Kicker supplies. When attempting to use the speed nut, it actually split. After a trip to the hardware store to get the correct length and diameter screws to use in the factory, finishing the install was a breeze. I have never purchased Kicker products before and I love the sound produced, but wish Kicker would spend the extra fifty cents and send better hardware.

based on reviews and Crutchfield recommendation, these are a solid choice in the price range. They replaced the door panel speakers in a 2003 Toyota Sienna which were rotted and torn. Installation was more easily accomplished than I expected thanks to the MasterSheet provided.

First off, these speakers are very well built. The first thing I noticed was how large the magnet was, compared to the stock speakers. The stock speakers actually had more travel (i.e. larger voice coil), but they just didn't have the magnet power to effectively produce the low notes, especially at high volume. Getting the speakers in was not too bad, I didn't have any major issues. Just to show how strong the magnet is, when I pulled the stock speakers out they latched onto the metal of the door frame, and it was fairly easy to pull off, but with the Kicker's it took two hand and quite a bit more force to remove the speaker from the metal. These speakers definitely kick. They don't have the low-low rumbling bass of a sub, or of a well ported 8 inch speaker, but with the speaker baffles in place, they provide more than enough bass, and they accurately reproduce the low frequencies. If you looking for the kind of bass that rattles your car, get a sub. My only complaint about these speakers is the amount of treble produced. On my system I really have to crank back the treble, and these speakers don't have the voice coil size to reproduce enough bass to counteract it. All in all, these are great speakers, very loud-due to the high sensitivity, so a standard head unit is more than sufficient. If you want a sub these speaker are also great, can reproduce enough high range to match the most bass heavy systems. I would definitely recommend these speakers.

After adjusting my head unit, I am more than satisfied with the sound. Great improvement over factory ones. I would have given five stars but the hardware from kicker is pretty poor. The speed nuts included slice your fingers or break in half (or both). I had some left over from another installation and used those to complete the job. I have been doing this a long time, but these things are worthless.

Sound great, and at a great price!

Replaced the factory front door speakers with these. The highs are better but lost some of the bass. Powered by a Kenwood DDX-419 head unit only. Need more power, will definitely need to invest in an amp!
