I bought these from "scratch and dent" as I needed to replace the stock rears in my 2010 Honda Civic. Do yourself a favor and spring for the Kenwood TSA-A1674R three-ways as they are better in every way. Maybe I am being a bit harsh because you do get what you pay for. Just spend more for a better sounding, more durable and more effecient speaker.

Great value for a decent sound. All four speakers in the wife's truck were blown when we bought it so these were a cheap and quick fix. The Crutchfield service was as always above and beyond. I see that they are now discontinued.

A nice upgrade from the stock front door speakers in a 2006 KIA Optima. Less bass and more treble than the stock speakers giving a much better balance overall. Crutchfield indicated I would have to remove material behind the speakers to make them fit but I actually had almost another 2 inches of extra space so I could have mounted a deeper speaker easily.

Pros:

Efficient, nice balance, cheap, easy installation

Cons:

Don't have a separate tweeter but I did not need one for this application

Great speaker upgrade from OEM

I own a 2007 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Pre-Runner V6. My son and I installed these speakers at the rear door. Installation was fairly easy, the printed guide proved very helpful. The mounting kit and harness fits very well. There is really a remarkable improvement on the sound from the stock speakers. Looking at the construction of the OEM speakers, you can see the miniscule magnet and the material used. The Kenwood speakers are well built and has a bigger magnet at the back. To get the full benefit of the speakers, I am thinking of upgrading the receiver and later on adding an amplifier and a sub.

Pros:

Great speakers for a very good price. An excellent upgrade.

Easy, works well

Installation was very easy in my 94 Bronco. Crutchfield sent the adapters, but I didn't need them, nor could I have used them (so I'm glad they were free). Plug and play. Speakers sound good, can handle decent bass too ("decent bass" is relative, I don't feel the need to rattle my car and those around me). I didn't need a hifi system, just a replacement that didn't buzz when there was a hint of bass. (the old speakers were destroyed, the surround wasn't attached to the cone anymore) I can't see them with the factory grilles so I won't comment on their appearance. For $50 I am very happy. The Master Sheet was actually pretty descriptive too, but I didn't really use it.

Pros:

Easy install good sound exactly what I needed Great price

Cons:

Can't crank the bass, if that's what you want

The speakers are decent for the price. The Crutchfield install kit is worthless. The bracket adapters provided did not even fit the speakers I bought. I could understand if they did not fit the car correctly, but not even fitting the speakers? Come on Crutchfield! I ended up drilling holes in the car door sheet metal and mounting the speakers without using the Crutchfield provided kit. Speakers rate five stars, Cructfield rates one star at best. Buy these speakers from any reputable seller and save the extra money charged by Crutchfield to cover their installation kit.

Good sound, good price, good value

Cons:

Installation kit is complete trash!

Great Choice for a Simple Installation

These were installed in the rear of my 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with the Infinity radio option. The front doors include separate tweeters. I didn't realize it when I ordered them, but the original rear speakers (which were paper and blown out) also included a tweeter, so I was glad I ordered them for the rear, instead of the single speaker units from Pioneer I installed in the front. Good clear sound. Tight bass. The relatively minor negative is poly cones probably can't produce the deep bass notes produced by the paper cone speakers that come with the truck. I don't think more expensive speakers would have produced better bass. The probably produce better sound from 50 to 20k Hz, but are more likely to be intended for use with a separate sub-woofer - net, they would probably produce less bass than these speakers, which are rated to 32 Hz. Great choice if you don't want to spend a lot of money for a sound upgrade.

I purchased these to replace the factory, front door speakers in my '97 Chevy Tahoe along with a new receiver. I installed them the day they came in and they made a huge difference in sound even with the factory stereo and using the factory tweeters. The supplied adapter needed a bit of clipping but they were easy to install. The next day I installed the new receiver and the speakers sound even better. For this price, I'm not sure why I didn't change them out years ago. My old Tahoe sounds great! I have played them fairly loud and they still sound good.

Pros:

A huge improvement over factory speakers even with factory receiver. Easy to install once you get door panel off. Big improvement for a small price.

Cons:

None.

Excellent replacement for OEM speakers. I purchased these speakers for front door replacement speakers in my 1998 Isuzu Rodeo. They mounted perfectly. All 4 mounting tabs of the speaker aligned perfectly with the mounting tabs in the door. Slight loss of bass compared to OEM but still ok. I just increased the bass setting on the radio to compensate and all is well.

Great price and easy installation.

Its a good basic speaker that was a direct drop-in OEM replacement for the rear deck speakers on our '02 Accent. They looked like an upgraded version of what was installed by the factory. Sound is good for the price, but do not expect crisp highs as if it were a coaxial setup. Install was simple thanks to the provided documentation from Crutchfield. Overall, very satisfied with the purchase.

Pros:

Ease of install. Good OEM replacement for the price. Crutchfield's quick shipping.

Cons:

Could use some better high end response.
