Features
Overview: The ZOE-60 is an outdoor enclosure for the ZAC-60 controller/amplifier to allow you to enjoy your Zōn Audio system on your deck or patio. It features a sealed enclosure with a hinged clear plastic cover. It is designed to be surface mounted in an appropriate location.
Note: The ZOE-60 is not intended to be "waterproof" or "weatherproof", and the ZAC-60 is not rated or intended for use in "wet locations". The enclosure should be mounted out of direct sunlight, and in a location that provides some shelter from the elements, such as an eave or awning.
Metal Mounting Bracket: The ZAC-60 controller/amplifier can easily mount to the supplied metal mounting bracket using the controller's self-contained mounting tabs. The bracket securely mounts to the enclosure using the supplied self-tapping screws.
Hinged Clear Cover: The ZOE-60 features a hinged clear plastic cover that protects the ZAC-60, while it allows you to easily see the display. The cover features two thumbscrews that hold the lid's gasket securely against the enclosure to keep moisture out.
Wire Entry: The enclosure is designed with the wire and/or conduit entry on the bottom, with a wiring access panel knockout. Holes should be drilled in the supplied Entry Cover Plate to accommodate the conduit or wire and a ventilation device. Once the cover plate has been mounted to the enclosure, it should be sealed with a suitable sealant such as bathroom caulk.
