Precision-machined flat undersides: For maximum contact and superior signal transfer.

Dimensions: Overall, each connector is 1.535" long. The overall width of the spade is 0.549", the width between the two prongs of each spade 0.335", and the spade is 0.105" thick. The diameter of the insulators is 0.535". Fits up to 12-gauge speaker wire.

Installation: Unlike most connector systems, Quick Lock connectors require no tools. To connect to speaker cables:

Strip the cable jacket to expose 5/8" of copper stranding
Slip the Quick Lock mounting post over the exposed copper
Using your fingers, twist the copper strands to form a point
Place the connector over the copper point, turning it clockwise onto the threaded portion of the mounting post until secure

Just what I needed

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I needed an outdoor speaker wire connector for Polk Atriums, which are on posts at the corners of my patio. Even though I replaced the wire with Audioquest "in-wall/burial" wire this spring, the wire was already beginning to corrode. I cut off the corroding portion, restripped, popped into these, and now no exposed wire. Took me 5 minutes.

I use Monster Quick Lock banana plugs for most of my gear, along with Quick Lock pin connectors for a bi-wired center and also for spring clips on an old receiver I use for Zone 2 from my Denon 3311. The spade connectors worked better with the Atriums than the pin version, which "stuck out into space" too much -- and banana plugs aren't an option with the Atrium 45s unless you want to peel off the post cover, but then even more metal is exposed to the elements.

All of these Quick Lock connectors are very easy and quick to use, and though the price seems a bit high as with all Monster products, these are well worth it!
