A good speaker, especially for the money. A definite improvement over OEM.

First off, the application, Supra only comes with 4" speakers mounted in a plastic resonant box like Bose. And yes, they do sound like a 4" speaker in a plastic enclosure just like Bose. Actually the rears are 4 1/2" speaker with a more like square frame. No big deal, used 1/8" plywood to make a gasket, outline identical to the old speakers, hole for these round speakers.

This was Toyota's idea of providing bass, actually, the cone diameter of the fronts are 3 3/4", rears are 4" not really that much difference. My radio is stock and have no intention of changing it thinking some day, this car will be a classic. But I did invert the spare tire so I could mount a 10" Overdrive Woofer fed by both channels into an amplifier I designed for bass with a 40 watt output, you want bass, I got bass and a fair amount of midrange to boot. These four inch speakers solve the missing high range for me, and that is exactly what they do. So very pleased with them. Not interested in blowing my ears off, but virtually harmonic distortion free if I turn the volume to maximum. I had to add a volume control to my woofer amplifier to turn it down, more interested in a flat response.

I did look over the entire range of 4" speakers that Crutchfield sells, as well as some completive options. Crutchfield for as long as I can remember always treated me well. I see the top of the line 4" speakers they carry have a 600 buck price tag, But bet, really not much different than these.

these speakers are terrible... talk radio only

Bought these for the rear doors in my 91 Volvo 240. They fit well but after installing i realized that they didn't come with speaker grills as shown online and in the catalogue. Crutchfield was good to handle the resturn in a professional manner. ending up going with a 4" polk dxi and very pleased with the results.

good speakers for the money. had to use 4in. because of mounting location. good sound well rounded sound quality , taking into account they are only 4inch drivers. no bottom end . i just turn the gain down on my 4 ch. amp and they balance nicely with the more powerful rears.

Just Meh, for the kids car, they blew out the stock Bose speakers. Had a good sale on these at Crutchfield.com so purchased them for Christmas. Sound Tinny... All the trouble I went through to get them into the car should have spent more for something of better quality....

Easy to install in 2nd generation Toyota 4Runner (with slight modifications) to replace OEM speakers. Sound from speakers is great. Can't wait to install Sound Ordnance speakers to replace rear speakers. I would definitely recommend this product.

Great sounding speakers. After removing a couple of mounting tabs, they fit perfect on the dashboard of 1993 MB 190E.

Like the front speakers I bought. The sound is good, crisp, clear, and clean. A step up from factory. I plan to purchase a amp and sub from the same company.

Good low volume speaker tinny at high decbals ok for the money.
