Features
Overview: The Escort RedLine radar, laser, and safety detector
includes full X, K, SuperWide Ka, and Safety Warning System radar capability
with front and rear laser detection. It also features dual antenna with varactor-tuned
(VTO) microwave receiver, digital signal processing (DSP) for superior range and
reduced false alarms, Mute and AutoMute functions, as well as audible and visual
band alerts.
TotalShield Technology: TotalShield technology makes the RedLine
completely invisible to radar detector detectors.
Dual Antenna Design: The Escort RedLine's new twin antenna design
introduces an all new level of radar performance. Tuned specifically for each
radar band, this approach enables RedLine to deliver the longest possible
warning on all radar bands, including the latest "POP" mode.
| Operating Bands |
Frequency |
| X-band |
10.525 GHZ (+/-25 MHz) |
| K-band |
24.150 GHZ (+/-100 MHz) |
| Ka-band |
34.700 GHZ (+/-1300 MHz) |
Laser Detection: The RedLine's multiple laser sensor are strategically
positioned to detect even the smallest amount of laser light, including off-axis
signals. Operating Laser band - 904nm, 33 MHz bandwidth.
Sensitivity Levels: You can choose from three levels of sensitivity;
including Highway (full sensitivity), Auto (filtered mode), and Auto NoX
(filtered but without X-Band).
- Highway: The Highway (full sensitivity) setting is recommended
for best overall performance.
- Auto: The Auto mode provides long-range warning, but uses
patented logic to minimize false alarms from automatic door openers, etc. In
this mode, RedLine's internal computer continuously analyzes all incoming
signals and intelligently filters them.
- Auto NoX: This mode is particular helpful when driving in urban
areas where annoying X-band intrusion alarms and door openers are common.
Auto NoX mode can be engaged to turn off the X-band completely to eliminate
these types of alerts. Full sensitivity is maintained on all other bands.
Digital Signal Processing (DSP): Escort's patented AutoMode logic
continuously analyzes all incoming signal and automatically rejects unwanted
false alarms. The result is long-range protection without unnecessary alerts.
TSR Software: TSR (Threat-Signal Ranking) software intelligently
sorts, ranks, and rejects false alarms automatically in X and K-band sources.
The result is ultimate protection without excessive false alarms.
Easy-to-Use: The Escort RedLine is simple to use and
operate. Preset at the factory, RedLine is optimized for North America. However,
you can customize the unit to meet your specific driving style.
LED Display with Brightness Control: RedLine's alphanumeric
display consists of 280 individual LEDs to provide an intuitive ultra-bright
display of signal strength and text messages. RedLine has four levels of
brightness, including automatic which adjusts the display brightness based on
the ambient light in the vehicle. You can also select full-dark mode and use the
power-on and alert indicators on the SmartCord for complete stealth operation.
Signal Strength Meter: RedLine's standard bar-graph signal strength
meter only displays information on a single rear signal. If there are multiple
signals present, RedLine's internal computer determines which signal is the most
important threat to show on the bar-graph meter. When the RedLine detects radar,
it displays the band (X, K, or Ka), and a precise bar-graph of the signal
strength. When RedLine detects a laser signal, the display with show "Laser".
When it detects a POP signal, the display will show "POP.
Note: If you are operating the RedLine in Dark mode, the display
will not light when a signal is detected; only the audio and the flashing
alert lamp on the SmartCord will be used.
ExpertMeter: The ExpertMeter is a miniature spectrum analyzer that
shows what band each signal is on and its relative signal strength. RedLine's
ExpertMeter simultaneously tracks up to 8 radar signals. It provides detailed
information on up to (2) Ka-band, (2) K-band, and (4) X-band signals. The
ExpertMeter can help you spot a change in your normal driving environment.
SpecDisplay: The RedLine's SpecDisplay option is for the experience
detector user. In this mode, the RedLine will display the actual numeric
frequency of the radar signal being received.
Clear Digital Voice Alerts: RedLine's easy to understand digital voice
alerts keep you informed without taking your eyes of the road. The RedLine
provides digital voice announcements of radar and laser bands detected. If
Safety Radar (SWS) is turned on, a safety message will also be announced. You
can manually adjust the volume up or down.
Audible Alerts: RedLine uses a geiger-counter-like sound to indicate
the signal strength and type of radar signal being encountered. When you
encounter radar, RedLine's audible alert will sound and occur faster as the
signal gets stronger. This allows you to judge the stance from the signal source
without taking your eyes off the road. Each band has a distinct tone for easy
identification; X-band (beeping), K-band (brap), Ka-band (double-brap), POP
(full double brap), and Safety (double-beep).
Note: Laser and POP signals are a possible threat no mater how
weak, RedLine always alerts you to these bands at full signal strength.
Mute and AutoMute: RedLine comes with Escort's AutoMute feature, which
automatically reduces the volume level during an alert. After you encounter and
alert at the volume you selected, the AutoMute features will automatically
reduce the volume to a lower level. this keeps you informed without the
annoyance of a continuous full-volume alert. Or, simply press the
Mute button on the detector or SmartCord during an alert to instantly quiet the
audio.
High/Low Voltage Warning: A high and low voltage warning is given any
time the vehicle's voltage goes above 16.5 volts or drops below 10.5 volts.
SmartCord: The RedLine comes with Escort's unique coiled SmartCord
12-volt adapter which supplies power to the radar detector while in your
vehicle. The SmartCord 12-volt adapter features a convenient mute button, alert
lamp, and power indicator.
Quick-Release Windshield Mount: The Escort Redline comes supplied with
a quick-release windshield mount with suction-cups for easy installation. The
quick-release windshield bracket is designed for unobtrusive and hassle-free
mounting.
Note: You can leave the quick-release bracket in place on your
windshield, and easily remove the RedLine radar detector.
Carrying Case: The Escort RedLine comes with a carrying case to
protect the radar detector when not in use.
