Features
Overview: The Niles Audio RS6SIPRO Rock Loudspeaker is designed for
outdoor use. The GeoRealistic enclosure has the texture and color of natural
rock, so it blends in just about anywhere in your yard or landscaping. It is completely weatherproof, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
Note: The Niles Audio RS6SIPRO is packaged as a single
speaker.
Stereo Inputs: The RS6SIPRO has dual inputs that allow you
to connect both left and right channel signals to a single speaker. The
dual-voice-coil woofer and dual tweeters give you stereo sound from a single
speaker enclosure. As a single stereo speaker, the speaker has an 8 ohm
impedance. It can also be configured as a single channel speaker (in a two
speaker stereo mode), in which case, the speaker's impedance would be 4 ohms.
Drivers: The RS6SIPRO features a 6-1/2" injection-molded TCC (talc, carbon, and ceramic-filled) polypropylene cone woofer
with dual voice coils
and two 1" Tri-laminate Teteron dome tweeters, bridge-mounted at a 15° angle for optimum
dispersion and stereo separation. The ConeForward driver placement and high quality crossover design
give you superior quality sound in an outdoor setting. The drivers are covered
with shaped MicroPerf aluminum grilles to maintain the natural look.
Weatherproof Enclosure: Niles Audio rock speakers feature
proprietary 4-layer fiberglass construction, making it completely weatherproof
and acoustically inert. It can withstand extreme environments, including UV
exposure and water resistance. It surpasses the military's strict specifications for preventing corrosion (MIL-STD-883D).
The enclosure can also withstand temperature extremes of -50°F to 185°F.
Wiring: The RS6SIPRO is equipped with two connected 28" lengths
of burial-rated speaker wire with tinned ends. Four waterproof wire nuts are
included for splicing on your own speaker wire. If you plan to bury the speaker
cable, you should either use cable rated for direct burial, or run the cable
through PVC pipe. The recommended gauge of the speaker wire is determined by the
maximum length needed:

Speaker Security: The RS6SIPRO comes with a metal security
stake and a Nylon security cable. The security cable should be looped through
the eyelet on the bottom of the speaker enclosure and secured to the stake,
which is then driven into the ground. If desired, enhanced security methods can
be used, such as anchoring the speaker to concrete.
