Features

Overview: Bose SIE2i in-ear sport headphones are designed specifically for exercise, both indoor and outdoor. They offer the same audio performance as other Bose in-ear headphones, but can withstand the rigors of an active lifestyle. They have been optimized to resist moisture from the weather or from sweat. The StayHear silicone tips fit comfortably, but snugly into your ear, and are designed to stay in place during strenuous activity. The SIE2i also includes an in-line remote/microphone that enables control for iPod and iPad, and hands-free communication for iPhone.

StayHear Ear Tips: The SIE2i headphones include three sizes of silicone ear tips (S/M/L) to assure a more accurate fit that's comfortable and stable. Advanced materials and design allow the tips to nestle inside the bowl of the ear, while also naturally conforming to the ear's upper ridge. StayHear tips also are designed to remain more securely on the headphone, as well.

Note: You should not attempt to wear the headphones without the ear tips.

TriPort Technology: Like other Bose in-ear headphones, the SIE2i sport headphones feature Bose's acclaimed TriPort technology. The headphones deliver wide-range sound, with deep, natural lows and crisp highs. Even though they are in-ear headphones, the SIE2i are not noise-canceling. They are purposefully designed to keep you aware of your surroundings while you are running through busy city streets or highways.

Cable and Extension: The SIE2i has a 32" cable that's long enough to reach your portable media device, and short enough that you're not constantly fighting excessive length. A clothing clip is attached to the cable so you can keep it out of the way. If you need additional cable, a 21" extension is included.

3.5mm Connector: The headphone cables have a slender, straight 3.5mm plug that fits directly into most digital media players, including iPod and iPhone models with hard cases, as well as laptops and portable CD and DVD players.

In-line Remote: The SIE2i has an in-line remote that allows you to conveniently control your music on your iPod or iPhone during your workout. It is also compatible with iPad, as well. You can also easily switch between calls and music when used with your iPhone.

Note: The SIE2i remote and mic work with iPod nano (4th gen and later), iPod classic (120GB, 160GB), iPod touch (2nd gen and later), iPhone (3GS and later), and iPad. Audio is supported by all all iPod models and iPad.

Armband: Included with the SIE2i is a matching orange and gray Reebok fitness armband that holds your device during exercise. It can hold your iPod, iPhone, or most any portable media device. It has a clear window to let you see the device's screen and operate the touchscreen controls. There's also a separate pocket for your keys.

I purchased these headphones to replace another pair and I wanted something that was of high quality, easy to use, comfortable and versatile. The Bose Sports headphones met the mark in every way and maybe best of all, for me, is that they stay in place during some very intense workouts.

Pros:

Cons:

The extension plug could be placed higher, is a bit lower than I would prefer.

After several weeks of painful research to find headphones that will stay put during strenuous and often sweaty workouts I have found the answer. These Sport SIE2i are the most comfortably acoustic headphones to date. I bought the orange and love the color! + easy to find in your gym bag. Only negative for me was getting used to the fit, and minimal bass response. Overall I highly recommend those looking for comfort, quality and Cruthcfield's outstanding lifetime customer support. Thanks guys!!

Pros:

Comfort, quality, legendary Bose sound and reputation.

Cons:

Learning curve to get the proper fit. Could use richer and deeper bass. Reebok fitness holder is fair at best.

The expected BOSE sound quality is there, but the packaging is definitely representative of trying to cut costs. There was no storage for the headphones and the cord is actually two pieces, which is great for when you want to use the arm holder for your MP3 player, then you don't have this long cord bouncing all over. They have changed how the plastic/rubber ear pieces fit in, instead of just the soft rubber bud having different sizes, they created plastic pieces that clip onto the bud and wedge into your ear. I have not determined whether this is all positive yet as I have only ran with them twice. They do stay in place very well though.

Pros:

BOSE sound quality is what you expect, and they deliver.

Cons:

Storage or case for headphones is missing.

I bought these to use with an iPhone while I travelled. I was looking for a pair of phones with good sound but where I could hear my surroundings. These fit that bill perfectly. But the best thing about them is the comfort. The soft wings on this earbuds keep them in place in a way that I barely feel them.

The sound quality is solid for headphones that are not in ear or covering the whole ear, better that other earbuds I have used. They aren't as dynamic as my Shure SE510s in ears or my Sennheiser HD800 full size headphones but their purpose is different - to be used while out and about. .... and the comfort is unsurpassed!!!!

Pros:

Comfort. Can hear surroundings while still having good sound quality. The mike works well without any sound of the wiring rubbing against my clothing.

Cons:

As expected dynamic range not as great as expensive over ear or in ear headphones but they aren't intended to be that. The coating of the wires is rubbery and they can get all tangled up pretty easily. Not sure about durability.

After years of struggling with earbuds that fall out and in-ear headphones that become uncomfortable, these are a treat. They rest just at the entrance to the ear canal and the pliable holder fits neatly into the folds of your outer ear. The sound quality is excellent, including good bass.

Sound is what is expected coming from a BOSE. I was skeptical about the design on how it will stay in my ear. I have been reading review for over 2 months and doesn't seem to be able to find a pair without someone complaining about them. BOSE never fail me before and I am not expecting it will fail me here. It lives up to its high expectation and hence the price. I sweat a lot when running and anywhere between 1 to 5 miles a day. Even though it had only been a few days, they holds up really well compare to the apple ear buds I had been using. It never falls out, stay in your ear very comfortably. I can even sleep with them and not worry about the set as you would from the neckband type or Over the head type.

Pros:

Perfect for work out. It will never falls out plus it is sweat resistance.

Cons:

The Price is expected for a BOSE product and I feel it is worth it. I gave one star to noise reduction because it clearly say "not design for noise reduction" on the back of the box.

Best Sports headphones

I had the MIE2i for 2 years. After being the stuffed in a pocket or gym bag one of the wires broke. I do a lot of power lifting and strongwoman type weight lifting. These headphones are the ONLY ones that stay in my ears no matter how much I'm jumping around or moving.

Pros:

Stays in your ears no matter what.

Cons:

Would be nice to have inline volume control.

I'm an avid Bose user and one thing I've been lacking for a few years is a great set of earphones to use while working out. The still fairly new gel in-ear grip is one of the best features of these earphones because they really do keep the buds in place provided you choose the right size for your ear. Since the grips are rubber and kept in place by tension mostly is better to go for the bigger size for ease of mind that the buds stay in place while sweating. The sweat resistance of the inline control put me over the moon as I have lost two previous sets of earphones(MIE2i and MIE2) due to shortages caused by workout sweats. Bose high quality sound and durability features in these SIE2i's paired with the accompanying reebok arm band have answered a long time request of mine.

Pros:

*Comfortable *High quality *Durable *Stay in place *Easy to clean *Reebok arm band is a plus *Cool looking *Pretty good warranty

Cons:

A bit on the expensive side. Not a fan of Neon Green or Orange
