These speakers are the heart of my sound system. They fit perfectly in a 1997 Jeep Wrangler and sound great. I installed with bass blockers to send the bass to my powered subwoofer (Kicker 11PT8) in the trunk.

Beautiful Sound!!!

I installed a pair of these in the front doors of my 2002 Isuzu Rodeo a month ago and honey, they are incredible! Crisp, strong, BEAUTIFUL sound from these babies no matter what you listen to! The highs are sharp and sweet. The mids full and strong, and the bass surprisingly powerful, especially at slightly high volumes. Paired with my Polk Audio db651s set in the back doors and Power Acoustic 4" in the rear roof, I have the best full range of the entire high school! Definite recommending these!

Pros:

Strong, full sound. Clarity even when turned up loud. Great price

Cons:

Absolutely none!

Kicker KS525 - Crisp Responsive Sound

Crisp sound, very responsive. Easy installation using the Crutchfield Master Sheet, the Kicker provided speed clips and Chrysler wiring harness leads. Purchased these Kickers to replace the OEM rear speakers in 2000 Jeep Cherokee and plan to purchase a second set to upgrage the OEM door speakers too.

Pros:

Crisp and responsive speakers

Cons:

Light on bass tones

I bought these to install in the doors of a 2004 Dodge Stratus. I installed them with 6.25" Kickers for the rear deck and a JBL amplified sub. These speakers are amazing. I got them for the vocals and highs as the sub handles the lows and the sound is extremely crisp and clear. Sounds like a concert hall! If you are looking for a great sounding speaker at a good price then get these. You won't be disappointed!!!

Nice set of speakers, just what I needed at a great price... Came with everything to install but it didn't have a template to cut the holes... Wasn't to hard to work around that but it would have come in handy if they would have supplied one.

I ordered these because of their price & I heard them in a a friends car ...I have always knew about Kickers being a good name brand but I have been a Kenwood & Alpine customer..I wont install these in my car until 2013...I'M getting my 98 buick regal ready for the summer of 2013...with the help from Crutchfield nothing can go wrong..Its going to be a Alpine & Kicker beating up the block,make sure u have a amp 4 these lil bad boys.... thanks Tommy..

Great Sound

These little speakers sound great for their size. I installed them in my daughters jeep to replace a much lower brand of speaker that sounded terrible. The difference is impressive. A sony head unit drives all 4 of them, front and rear. I would suggest adding a sub, as I have done to add to the highs. The bass boost will drive a little bass out of the 5 1/4, but it is not too good. These speakers combined with the sound ordinance powered sub enclosure add just enough high and low to create a well balanced sound stage. My daughter loves the sound of her new ride. Thanks for the continued support Crutchfield!

Pros:

Great highs and mid-range. Sound quality is excellent.

Cons:

Not really a con, but the bass is a little distorted, but that is normal with a 5 1/4.

I bought some 4 inch kicker speakers for my 325i and they were great. I decided to purchase some 5 1/4 inch speakers for the kick panels and now I will be a kicker customer. I love them!!!

Looking at previous reviews I thought these speakers would have a great sound, which they did in the upper voices, but there is no mid or bass at all. If you can, look at upgrading to mid-range speakers that have some bass with them.

Ok mids, terrible bass. But nothing to expect much from 5 1/4 speakers.

Great Speakers

I have 2 pairs of these in my 2000 Jeep Cherokee. Much greater sound than the stock speakers. They produce great mid's and treble but the bass is only alright. All-in-all these are a great pair of speakers that give a great sound.

The bass produced was OK, took some jury-rigging to fit into my front doors

Great Speakers

I just upgraded to these speakers in my sound bar from the Kicker DS525's. Why you may ask? Well, I figured out how to move the DS525's to my dash and wanted to try a better speaker in the sound bar on my Wrangler. The KS series is a really nice upgrade from the DS. Mids and high's are lot nicer! The DS speakers were fine, but I would certainly spend the few extra bucks to get these!

Pros:

Strong, solid, great natural sound.

Cons:

No bass....BUT...I don;'t see that as an issue. This is why they make subs. If you don't want a sub, then get a bigger speaker.

Great Sound

These speakers were easy to install. All the required brackets and special connectors for my Beetle were included. After install, with the doors open, the speakers sounded ok. But once we got in the car and closed the doors you could really hear the sound quality. Highs and lows are great. Only replaced the door speakers and now I'm wondering how great my system would sound if I replaced all my speakers with Kickers. Worth the money.

Pros:

Easy install. Great price. Great sound.

Cons:

Not gold plated and didn't make the car go faster.

These speakers definately play loud and clear! Don't be fooled by the size! l have them installed in all four doors of my compact SUV and it sounds just great. Just remember you will need a sub if you want to hear and feel any serious bass.

Great Mids and Highs!

These speakers are AMAZING! I bought them for my classic Mercedes (install was fairly involved). I am running an old aftermarket Pioneer head unit and these babies sound fantastic. The mids are strong. The highs are super clear and crisp. I highly recommend these to anyone looking to add the top end of the sound spectrum. The only negative associated with them (and it's actually not even a negative at all), is that they don't put out very loud bass. They are only 5.25" though, that's not what they are designed for. I'll be adding some 6x9's in a custom box on my back dash for the lower end soon enough, but until I get to it, these speakers make the top half of the frequency spectrum sound so incredible that I'll be happy until then. Bass blockers would also probably be a good idea, as the bass they do put out seems to get in the way of what would otherwise be perfect sound.

Great Speakers!

These speakers are great! The only thing is, you will probably want to buy a subwoofer! The bass in these speakers is not strong, however the treble and mids are great!
FYI: If anybody owns a 1993 Dodge Spirit and wants to install these speakers in it, you can! The Crutchfield & other websites say the speakers will not fit, but they do!
