Thanks to the saucer-shaped Omniguide mounted above its top drivers, the OMD-C1 can disperse sound evenly in a 360° pattern. Features

Overview: The Mirace OMD-C1 is a dedicated three-way center channel that features Mirage's OMNIPOLAR technology and Mirage's OMNIGUIDE design. The center speaker comes in a gloss black finish with removable black cloth grille.

OMNIPOLAR Technology: This technology radiates sound in a perfectly spherical dispersion pattern, expanding the sweet spot to encompass virtually the entire room.

OMNIGUIDE Design: The design consists of a conically shaped cylinder that is responsible for reflecting sound in a perfect 360 degree pattern. This unique design guarantees the same tonal balance and dispersion characteristics no matter how and where you mount the speakers.

The speaker should be inverted with grille facing downwards when it is mounted above 6 feet.
The speaker should be mounted normally with the grill facing up when it is mounted below 6 feet.

Applications: The OMD-C1 is designed for use as a Front or Rear center channel in Home Theater surround sound applications.

Voice Matching: The center channel is voice matched with the following family of Mirage speakers - Mirage's OMD-28 or OMD-15 floor standing speakers, Mirages OMD-5 bookshelf/satellite speakers and Mirage's OMD-R rear surround speakers.

Note: The Mirage OMND-S10 subwoofer is recommended for the OMD-Mirage family of speakers.

Video Shielded: The speaker is magnetically shielded so you can place it on or next to your television without distortion.

Drivers: The drivers used in the OMD-C1 are as follows:

Woofer: The speaker features two 5.5" poly titanium deposit hybrid woofers with ribbed elliptical rubber surrounds.
Midrange: The OMD-C1 also features a 4" poly titanium deposit hybrid midrange driver which directs the sound into the OMNIGUIDE module of the speaker cabinet.
Tweeter: Floating above the midrange is a precisely angled cast aluminum OMNIGUIDE module that houses the speaker's proprietary 1" PTH tweeter.

Enclosure: The sealed cabinet is made of very solid inert medium density fiberboard (MDF) which creates a solid, flex-free cabinet which eliminates music altering distortion. The enclosure is curved and completely sealed.

Mounting Options: The speaker can be wall mounted using the supplied plastic wall bracket. The wall bracket is attached to the speaker using the supplied 9mm bolt. The screws needed to hang the bracket from the wall are not provided. The center channel also comes supplied with a table top stand that the speaker rests in allowing you to set the OMD-C1 on top of your TV (if applicable) or on a shelf.

Speaker Terminals: The OMD-C1 uses high quality gold-plated binding posts located on the rear of the speaker. The terminals will accept a wide range of connector type including spade lugs, banana plugs or pin type connectors.
